Lights change, they just sit there,by the time they have worked out where the foot pedals and gear is,it is too late, the lights change, and i have moved a metre, they fidget, stroke the hair, adjust the rear view mirror, check their text message in box, water the flower if driving a yellow VW Beatle,it is so tempting to let a few rounds off from the audible warning device to wake them up.
Some will leave a gap,the size of the Titanic,so when the lights change, they are too far away to make it through the orange light, and then have to haul anchors up,as they won`t make it though.

Why do women check their back ends in the reflection of shop windows when they walk by them,to see how the diet has not worked?Never see blokes doing that.

Do blokes not do that then Toby …
…I always look at the truck or car if I go past windows or shop fronts
what is it with those flowers in vw beetles, fine if its a woman…but men■■?
what niggles me is when the lights change red and the car in front slows to 1mph and then travels at that speed until they reach the car in front of them, get to the back of the queue asap and stop ffs, and put it in gear and have the clutch down ready for when the lights change green dont do all that after the light has changed ffs. Who would have thought traffic lights could be so bloody complicated

Yes it is defo a woman thing, I just bought my missus her second beetle but this ones flower was missing, so she emailed the seller and complained, replacement cost her three pounds for a ■■■■■■■■■ one, same colour as car. Her first car was bright yellow.

I’m a woman and I wouldn’t buy a vw beetle simply because there is that stupid flower in it. I hate all things girly.

If lights have just changed to red then a driver might as well stop at them for a relax - but not rush up so the driver at the back of the queue wonders if they will stop in time!
Often when at the front of the queue and a bit of a wait is on the cards then I will take all hands and feet from the controls - very relaxing … then when lights go red/amber I will engage 1st/look in n/s mirror followed quickly by drop handbrake/look in o/s mirror … now setting off just a fraction after lights turn green
If safe to do so I will then use the gears as they were designed to be used - to get up to the speed limit asap - so many change up too early
If I approach lights already on red then a good progressive deep brake followed by a crawl up to them is better as it gives the lights time to change so I do not have to stop
That sometimes comes as a shock to others following behind so I have to be careful as they usually want to rush up and brake hard - I get some funny looks from them at times but then happier ones when they realise that we did not come to a stop
The greater majority of large vehicle drivers and advanced drivers plan not to actually stop unless it is absolutely necessary IMO but that often conflicts with what might be termed as ‘the average driver’
why I wrote that lot on this site I don’t know as it’s probably already done by just about everyone on here … oh well - it upped my post count by 1

99% of the time when I crawl upto lights I still have to stop because of the issue with drivers getting there car ready to move off after the green light shows, then the car behind then gets ready when the car in front of him moves off and so on, unless you are on a long straight road approaching the lights then you really will not be able to keep rolling towards the queue without stopping.
I got flashed on Tuesday morning at A1 M18 roundabout going through an amber, it always happens just as I,m going through a green it turns to amber!!!

Different to my experiences over the years as I tend to find that they cannot wait to move with most hollding on the footbrake and/or clutch holding it
this often causes issues if someone in the queue starting off has to brake suddenly or stall - they nearly go into the back of each other!!
I have less of a problem with slow drivers getting away once a light turns green, than the ones who dawdle along for miles until they come to a set of traffic lights that are on green and speed up to get through them, leaving me, who has been wanting to get a move on, to stop at the lights that they’ve just crossed… That really makes me frickin angry!

In a ideal world there would be a digital timer above lights counting down when their about to change so everyone can get ready.
One that really pee’s on my chips are pedestrians who press the green light before checking if the road is clear to cross first.
They then walk across the clear road on the red man, and 5 minutes later the lights change to red for the traffic and there’s no pedestrians to cross!!!
Another one is traffic lights on roundabouts. At rush hour a good thing. 4am in the morning very annoying
