Heading to the Blanc.
Bakers dozen on a little bimble down to Italy, dont it look just grand, Buzzer
Evening Buzzer
We have finally had some rain yesterday and boy was it needed, all our hill fronts have burnt off and gone brown. We should have been getting ready to start cropping but there is not enough grass yet, luckily we have quite a bit left over from last year..
We have been busy selling surplus heifers at Leyburn Skipton and Darlington auctions, top price was 4800 guineas at Darlington so they have done well.
Still busy at work moving machinery to all corners of the country, suprising it’s so busy considering what the clowns in Parliament are doing to farmers in this country.
Cheers Wrighty.

Hey up Wrighty some tidy looking humick’s there mate they look well, we had a splat or two of the wet stuff but too little too late but we cannot control that, wont be a lot of straw about I reckon as its short and going into ear already, my friend is buying up second grade 6 string hay now for a tenner a bale to use for bedding later on a wise move I reckon. TB test clear this week so turning out next few days when we have used the last two maize silage bales so it does’nt go sour, there itching to get out on the green, cheers Buzzer.
Got eight of ours gone to Italy this week plus subbies so quiet on the home front this week.
Evening Buzzer
Yes same here all our cattle that are out have a bale of haylage with them, not much green about but we have had another steady afternoon of rain so should kick start the grass.
Off to Gloucester with two drops of concrete tomorrow so should keep us going for a couple of days, then home to look after the farm as our David is off to sunnier climbs for a week of R+R. Another couple of heifers for Leyburn on Friday so we will see how they do, and then get the old machinery greased up ready for some crop fingers crossed..
Cheers Wrighty.
Hi wrighty, cattle do look good and congratulation to you and the others for keeping a nice looking fleet. Gerbil
Oooh just sin 'em on TV! Wit Tommy!

Some history and some tales surrounding that company!
Some of the stories are true too!
Please enlighten us all, don’t know where he is nowadays, Buzzer
No, sorry I know nothing about anything current regarding Mssrs Kingsley nor Dellagarno.
But “back in the day” the company went through some interesting times as the proverb has it.
franglais back in the day many moons ago we subbed loads of Mr K he had the McDonalds traffic and we did loads of buns to Madrid, apparently they could not make them in Spain for some reason, it loaded out of Hemel Hempstead IIRC rates were reasonable at the time, we sometimes did the sources out of Scotland as well. As for Mr Dellagarno he was a subby for us and bought a new G reg 400 Scania which was one of 3 we ordered, he never ever trusted me on the rates but I used to take £50 out of each job regardles of rate, he even resorted to checking my rate sheets which I showed him just to get him to stop winging, anyways Paul Kingsley ended up in Gib as far as I heard dont know what he did after that and Delboy as we named him took some of the McD work on and ran several motors out of the yard belonging to Scania at Segensworth but is not there now as they needed the room. That’s what I know from the past but it was a stepping stone for us and some PJK drivers worked for us also, Buzzer
Evening John
Sorry to read about Rodger thats a shock to read, drove for you for a long time.RIP.
Saw two of Wrightys motors between Wimborne and Blandford about 5 weeks ago going through the avenue of trees at Badbury Rings with concrete panels .
Hey up Dean, very sad about Roger to short a retirement from a life on the road, Wrighty still driving for Colin Parker and seen his motors on Telly as Tommy who drives for him is on Reuben of the dales fame.
Boys are mad busy with ships stores and other work and warehouse chocka so all good there, its nice for the boys to get abroad as when you see the pictures there is far less traffic to contend with, all the best JD.
Six waiting for the water ferry from Le Havre tonight only together as there was a truck fire in a tunnel on the autoroute at St Julien and the A40 was closed so serious Gelling on today to make up time, Buzzer
I think they are winding you up Buzzer-it’s the same 3 taken from a different angle! The other 3 are on the lash somewhere
With fair weather forecast got the contractor in this morning to cut the park, could have probably done it with me ride on as not a lot there but we must take what we have, baler coming Tuesday to finish up the job then we will cart and stack it, Buzzer
The farmer who has the right to mow our back field is always the last in the district to do so and I often look on in envy at all the neatly cut fields elsewhere because it makes it easier walking for Jules and me. Not so bad though, in this hot weather we simply walk up the several trails in the forest where it is nice and cool, and since I bought the adjacent parcelle, we are straight into it from the off.
