Buzzer, nothing wrong with horse meat, the problem arises when the burgers are sold as 100% beef, and apparently the scam has been going on for years,30% of some burgers are horse meat not beef…scammed again!!

Yes and what they don’t tell you is that those that are truly 100% beef contain everything and I mean everthing from a cow, bones etc etc all ground up!!!

Hi John I was given these pics today to put on here, the dates on back are 22/3/02 and 25/3/02 can you remember where you were?
Regards Pat
Who the hell gave you those Pat,i cant even remember the horses but the dates would be about right as we moved to Segensworth in 2001 and i quite often popped into Mike Chappels office for a chat and Katie his daughter broke a horse in for me,course all that yard has gone now and is covered with houses.I once hired a dumper of them and went to pick it up at Stubbington and there were sheds full of old Fodens and the like but i dont know if they have been disposed of now, would be a restorers dream cheers Buzzer.
PS.i cant believe just how big i was and note as in all old pics the rolly was ever present !

Hi John
Mark Harris gave me the pics today he was in my yardtoday with Mick Leech they were picking up a heavy load just 400 yards from me!
His wife, or ex should I say, used to break horses, yes of course it was the late Mick Chappells old yard by his house!
Regards Pat
The truck in the middle of this pic which i think is a Dennis Mike Chappel turned into a horsebox for Kate his daughter, every thing on it was built to heavy haulage proportions all done inhouse,i never saw the finished result thgats if it got finished cheers Buzzer.

Hi John
Yes that’s exactly what Mark told me that Dennis was to be converted to a horse box it had been an ex-brewery lorry.
The bonneted Scania belonged to Mark Thompson.
