Hey Richard that makes the account of that truck being TIR Tones first more plausable,my god i did not realize just how old he is and must have lied about his age to get his first licence like they did to get in to the army,no limits for that one eh ! cheers Buzzer.

I can remember when you used to park the motor behind the parade of shops in Hedge End (near Barclays) - my brother in law lives in the flats across the road from here and when I went out on his balcony a few weeks back I remembered C789 being parked there!

That was in the old days Tone when you were able to take the unit home but we did have one driver from Wales who thought he would nip home on a sunday night when he was tipping in Evsham on monday without any permission but he was seen by one of the importers that used us who just happened to be using the severn bridge at the same time and made a note of the truck number and i took him to task and made him pay for the diesel he had used,had to make a point.cheers buzzer.

Gazzer…2004 Kuwait, as a civilian driver for the yanks during the Iraq conflict. Didn’t, stay long. :unamused: :unamused:
Went to states first ( Houston ) for NBC training, medical etc. etc.
Was told there all trucks had armour plating and mesh on screen and windows to protect against roadside bombs blah blah blah.
Get out there and was there were only bog standard Mercs ( tankers ) with no protection :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:
