going for a walk to find Jasons packhouse only a km away but not the easiest to find ended up walking about 5 km’s or it seemed like it
Oh i forgot you only want to see the trucks it might sound bad parking in a packhouse for wknd but good views all round & this is in a small town with better/cleaner facilities than most services/truckstops
& a proper camion stew makes me feel hungry just looking at it!!forget a la cart, this is a la Davies
& so this is where i find myself this wknd at the restaurant Millan on A23 before Valencia good food & wine what more can one want?Hope you all did’nt mind this week in pictures? but this is the way we roll these days,a busy week, legal a bit of fun with 8 different countries visited & over 2000 miles covered.Happy days
John can i have the job again next year please??

Well done Andrew i think you did this so you can have the job of " on the road " photographer in 2013,cheers Buzzer.
PS. Gazzer and TIR Tone dont you wish you were still doin the Job.To be honest Buzzer, I reckon that if I shipped out now, I,d be like a newbie again
what with the new motorways and bypasses, the new toll systems and the like,
I wouldn’t,t have a bloody clue now.
I enjoyed the job when I did it starting in 1976 until my last ever trip in 1999 and am always
Reminiscing about how it used to be.
I was lucky to have worked for several good firms ( and a few not so good ) over the years
But I have to say that my time with you was the best. ( please don’t take offence Richard if you read this )
We used to work hard and we played hard as they say…especially in the earlier years, but we were
made to feel part of the family, and we had a bloody laugh. I still miss the bosses breakfasts.
I,ve got my memories mate and I,ll stick with them.
Hi Tone!
Its like riding a …bike you never forget!!
Admittedly you probably did have the better years of doing this job & some good memories to go with it but these days its what you make it & i always try to look on the brighter side & enjoy myself no matter what s##t gets chucked at me or comes my way.Its amazing how the vino calapso helps
regards Andrew
Hi Andrew, thank for sharing that trip with us mate, it does make me a bit envious i must admit.
I,m sure you,re right about me still being able to do the job, but i,ve got used to being at home
now at the weekends, even though i still hate driving in the UK.
A few months ago now, i saw you in Leigh Delamere services and was gonna introduce myself but
you pulled out just as i got there. Davies still cracking the whip i expect…only joking.
Great pics by the way…Tony
Well Mappo and every body else when you peruse Andrews last lot of pics i think you will agree to let him keep his position as on the road photographer, with this last lot it’s almost like being there in person and is different because its what is happening now and not in bygone years .Just showcases the different weather one has to cope with as well as all the other day to day things that happen.I do think its not just ex Davies personel that look at this thread but it has quite a few followers who were ex cotinental drivers who no longer go to europe and it does bring back memories of bygone years albeit its alot different today,so on behalf of everybody thanks for the insight Andrew keep up the good work in 2013.PS we dont mind a few snaps of the drivers as well mate.
Cheers Buzzer.

If you nip to Las Ramblas you can get any kind of “whip” you like Andrew!
On the right side of the street as you go up from the column would be your safest bet.
awesome pics as usual andrew keep the coming makes me jealous im not able to do it us young ones never get the break!!
