Good morning Nifty. Great pics as ever.
BAA (The white and blue F10) was driven by Gooj (Hence why you cannot see out of the windscreen) We still have a framed pic of that truck loading at Greene King Brewery on the wall in the drivers room.
The other pic of DJO 666Y and XVW 51S - I can see Micky Long crouched down by XVW and know that DJO at that time was again driven by Gooj as he used to have those ‘HSB’ beer towels in the windscreen. Buzzer has a pic of it at home tipping near Perugia for STS.
RMU behind SLS Chereau parked outside Slateys. Would have been Mr Clue in the saddle then. Infact, think he was the only permamnent driver on that until you bought it.
M22 parked on a beach as usual at the weekend with ACH - no idea where though…

I had 4 Globetrotters, those 2 I had off our old friend Wichard Tapper,they belonged to a company in Poole, G 870 WBP I brought new from Princes,and the sister to yours RMU 981 Y which was one of Ian Rycrofts.I’ll try and post the article in Truck magazine on RMU when they tested it against a brand new F12 !
Roy Talman, (Winky) to the audiences in Spanish clubs 
is driving for Wyvern Cargo,my son Nick was in Fleet Services and saw him,bearing in mind Nick was 8 yrs old when he last met him and is now 26 went up to him and said are you Winky you used to drive for my Dad ! so he can’t have changed much,I last saw him at Pete Mongers RIP. funeral in Coventry.

Dalmar warehouse was another store for the British army on the top of the hill overlooking split, Croatia.
I tipped there on my first trip for SFOR and IIRC I had a squaddie complete with rifle as my guide up the hill from north port.
I remember shipping across with around 6 other Davies trucks and they all went inland to bugojno in Bosnia. It would have been the week before Xmas 1998 as I well remember us all shipping back into italy and heading for a pasta place top side of Milan. The following morning we were all given loading dates spread out across the Xmas holiday period but after a few phone call we all loaded on the evening of the 22nd and chased up for the night boat out of le havre on the 23rd. From memory the other drivers were Roy Smith, Kevin Garner, Sling, Dale Martin, Matt Newman and John Young.

Oh what fun you had neil during your driving career with Davies had i had realized how much you all enjoyed the work i probabley could of got away with paying you alot less,but in hindsight i expect you would have told me to pee off,cheers JD.

Hi all another of Andrews pics,this old bird aint stupid it’s built its nest on a ready made electric blanket by the looks of things.
Used to see huge nests like that on the route that cut across from the N2 100k east of Madrid heading towards Pamplona I think they were made by vultures as there was always plenty circling above the road.
As for your earlier post about enjoying the job too much I will still say its still the most enjoyable job I’ve had. Great kit, great work and great people around you what more could you want?.

To be honest Tone i thought you would prefer younger ladies to sit on your lap or your face would be even better,trouble is if you had to chase them you’d never catch em.Sorry to hear about Gibbo always dressed smart even at work looked like he was goin on a night out.
