I can make out in the pic Kwozz, Reader, Dimond Geezer, Dave Morgan (can tell by the white vest and hair spray) and Aidee Dennis. Not sure who is on the far right in the blue shorts though, will take another look tomorrow. Probably way off the mark but reckon the nipper in the shot might be Adrians son.
Lovely shot of XVW with the UFO trailer. As buzzer said, the name gone so must either just sold it or just got it and not finished it off. The motor was bought by Frankie Hurran of ‘old fulham town’
Axle, we still got those cab fridges as shown in this pic of Deegee making lunch. Some are probably getting on for 20 years old now. Never have a problem with them. They did cost a lot of at the time but looking back, money well spent!!
Now another dug out from the bottom of the draw,a man that can with big spanner in hand some times it was a big hammer,must be in the 70’s i should think at Star Transporters yard in Westquay road,note Dave Coombes old commer van at the back definitely another MH moment.
Hi Axle this must have been after XVW was sold on cos i cant remember pulling Universal Freight Organization trailers when i owned that motor but did some work for them at a much earlier era with an AEC mandator,cheers Buzzzer.
thats a lovely motor, i would happily drive that instead of my 61 plate XL!
Must be that time of year when all empty trucks hurtle towards Valencia to load the annual christmas fair that every body buys.
