Davies Int. Southampton. With photos (Part 1)

kwozzy:
hi john, dont you remember, you gave me P666 cos you said
it suited my personallity. dont what you meant by that.

Can you remember who had P666 after you Stu?. You would only have had the DAF for a month or so when I started and I’m curious to fill in the gaps.

Cheers
Neilf

I took this picture in Meer Truckstop the other morning.

Love this picture Mr D, looks like proper haulage yard. It reminded me of one of mine from around that time, not in the same class of course, but just sprung to mind.
I took this as these motors were on the greenhouse job and also in the days when drivers took motors home! :open_mouth: so was unusual to be in the yard together.

Tony.Mr Davies doesn,t look anything like a mulo.I saw the photo of him with his trio of beautiful horses and I said to myself " What a regal looking old gentleman" As you said to me,he was the best ,most generous, kind quiet boss you ever had the good fortune to work for. Which I,m positive all the lads will agree.( I really must stop drinking this homemade elderflower wine this time of the day ).Regards Charlie

Hi Buzzer, next weekend is the Portuguese doin Bournemouth…the 10th year.
As you know mate i,m game for a laugh and i,ve taken some stick on here in the past

Hi mate you had quite a tidy line up of trucks, i think in days gone bye you just ran what ever truck became available not like today when usually firms run all the same make,as for that bloke who did the paintings for us, that was some time ago ( 15 yrs ) i should think so dont know if he is still about but will ask around and see what i can find out and let you know, cheers Buzzer.

Mappo
The secret has been out for years.
Since I was a lad anyway I think someone said you were the star turn in a place called the juniperberry or something like that I am far too young to know for sure.
Stockings or tights for you next week lol.
