Wrighty, sounds like you had an event full but pretty boring week for someone used to chasing his ■■■. Happy Christmas to you and your family and to me old mate Buzzer and his family and happy new year to you all and all on this thread.
Tizz the season of goodwill when men should eat & drink there fill and if they are lucky get a new Scania, that was last year and all seem pleased with there new rides, having said that the job aint what it used to be as Chip said to me over a pre Christmas cup of tea in Tracy Island he came all the way from Campogalliano in Italy and never saw another British truck all the way up. Not like back in the day when all the Southampton boys on traction were racing for the last boat home, when on board giving up the breakfast vouchers and upgrading to the waiter service restaurant, who remembers that ? good old days of camaraderie never to be seen again, was like an unofficial club with ne entry fee’s. As we all get older we still have all the memories and no one can take those away, sadly a few have passed but we still think of them and the good times we all spent together doing the job we loved, Buzzer

We used to look out and acknowledge all, it made the journey home more interesting, the traffic in the late 60’s early 70’s was a bit less than today so you had time to spot a British lorry… If they were going the opposite way, it was goodbye Xmas for them… Le Havre signs in sight… it was the homeward bound roadway to Xmas dinner. …
Many Many Years ago, but never forgotten, and thoroughly enjoyed.
Happy Xmas everyone…
Regards Andy
Very sad sign of the times. Didnt start doing Euro work until the early 90s but then you wouldnt go far without seeing Murfitts, Rennie Hogg, EM Rogers, Smiths of Scotter, SK Haulage ,Wrefords . .to name a few

Was just watching this video on Youtube and three of yours pop up near the start. youtu.be/80rUtU9wZMw Don’t know if the link works or not, I’m not very tech savvy…
Cheers Wrighty.
Wrighty, those three will be in trouble being stopped in the middle of the day, Buzzer will have to look into that.
John, wife said thanks’ for the photo but was about 6 year’s before her start there.
The 3 motors looked as leaving the HOLLYS A5.remember the lorry park was worse than Flanders however the quickest best breakfast ever but scapie chairs on the floor, to be honest years ago we used to purposely scape the chairs .dbp
