Well that’s another weekend over back to the grindstone tomorrow, off to Liverpool again with a load of concrete and then loading machinery back up for our local show at Kendal.
Busy up ere getting our mule gimmers ready for the sale on the 12th, clipped out and getting dipped tomorrow so hopefully it stays dry…
Work on the shed is coming on fast with the steelwork up and some of the panels in place, times getting on and we may need it sooner rather than later depending on the weather…

Hi John, The picture of Sheerness reminded me of the early 1970s when Robert Baillie & Co opened
a small depot at Sheerness where we could load the containers with Bananas from Jamaican Producers
ships, which normally were loaded at London docks, there was a dock strike there for a long time.
Us Wigan based Baillies drivers delivered the bananas to Manchester, Bridlington, & Gateshead.
I have attached a picture of one of Baillies 30ft banana containers, photographed later in the 1970s.
