Steve Mathews was your man for that, he had a veritable cellar from his time on Vincent Cottle some very exclusive bottles, Buzzer.

I’m very jealous of those Italian photos .

My daughter got married in Tuscany, absolutely stunning, we were over there for two weeks at the time the second of those weeks was at a beach resort in Tuscany. Have to say Italy is absolutely amazing and by far the nicest place I’ve ever been to abroad.

Not so nice in winter heading up to the blanc

The parents of my ex Mrs had a house near Lucca , so I was asked to stay for two weeks , stunning area but unfortunately she didn’t speak to me the whole time so I went off to Rome on the train, Mike Rutherford from Genesis was on my flight home .
It’s normal to eat at 22.00 at night , as it’s cooler , then hit the nightclub, double espresso in the morning then Siesta time .
Maybe Mr Davies should charge his drivers a tourist tax !

Well it is Friday so went to West Sussex this morning and bought 7 Simmental suckled steers as you do, just come of there mums so put in the barn for a few days but they aint hollering yet and usually when they lose the milk bar they let loose, Buzzer

Another busy week at Tracy Island as the second phase of warehouse refurbishment started, also the footings are being put in place for the rail that will carry the new sliding yard gate which is being installed as part of the refurbishment which includes all new pallet racking which has narrower isles so increasing the capacity, its all go, go, go, cheers Buzzer

By the way them steers are hollering now giving it there all.

Evening Buzzer

Well we’ve had nice steady rain today which will have done a lot of good, so we spent the afternoon spreading muck on the recently cleared ground. We got some nice hay on Thur/Fri which will be fed to the sheep this winter, might get the day off tomorrow after we have fed the cattle and sheep and a nice roast beef dinner to follow…

Cheers Wrighty.

Well what a surprise I am still up as a bit of a party going on here, the Boss has had a much reduced birthday party with limited numbers of course, afternoon of drinks and a BBQ done by professionals so no sweat followed by the men watching the England football game on the tele with a good result for us which I think everyone needed after the last 18 months we have had. Normally I would be tucked up in bed by this time but it appears to be continuing.
Your lucky to get your bit of hay in mate as its not been good down this end, as for your cracked rimm you need to get some ally staybright’s fitted and they look smart to boot, more damp forecast for us down this end but selfish as it is we done with the silage making so need it to wash in the manure we had spread, enjoy your roast tomorrow sure you have earned it, Buzzer.

Get in the que

You have saved yourself a few quid again Buzzer buying direct and not at market. I have lost track as you are always buying and selling, but did you replace your last cattle truck or
did you have to transport them in a trailer. I bet your neighbours love you when they start hollering !

Dean I did go and collect them by trailer but I must admit do prefer a truck, just received my application forms for my LGV licence so rang to get a medical, no chance my doctor wont do any till September and was told to google to find one, total disgrace. Last year a had a bye and did not need one because of Covid but not this time.

Lance think the que would be quite long for a go in that machine, its just nice to see a bit of yesteryear preserved to that level so another shot of the same machine, dont think its for sale though and if it was what would it be worth, Buzzer

Hi all there is one of these firms that do HGV medicals in Sedgensworth £50 i think might be worth a try when does your’s run out. :sunglasses:

Hi Buzzer took photo of the 2 restored Scania’s at Gaydon couple of years ago, absolutely cracking restoration jobs, and you’re right there would definitely be a queue to drive any of them.

Hi John,

I had the same response from my doctor, ended up having mine at the Holiday Inn in Southampton at 6pm the Saturday before last, the doctor who did it was from a practice in Hedge End,must be a good earner at £55 a go as several lads were waiting, my only concern was he didn’t have anyones medical records !! He didn’t notice the 2 girls that carried me in, my missing leg and arm, white stick and dog,10 minutes later I was coming out all done.

Hope you and the Boss are ok, I saw one of the trucks in Ross on Wye Saturday afternoon on his way to load, shouted to him to GEL on.

Richard
