I have a suspicion that if you are protesting about climate change, the coppers will stand and watch, without interfering.
If anyone is protesting about leaving Brussels, there may be a slightly different reaction!
We’ll wait and see!
John.

John I don’t know what the protest was about if it was climate change its probably about restrictions in Agriculture which probably contributes far less harm into the air than Industry but there you go. In the past the demos in France were not interrupted by police as they were all in the same union but don’t know if that is still the case, very disruptive though with a cost to a haulier with no recompense, Buzzer.
JIMBO47:
Just passing by lol. The post about the combine at 300k. Had me remember a farming outfit I deliver to bought 50 new John Deere combines this yr… they have there own mills and “ bin farms”. Iirc Olsen farms mn. Also own first ag in South Dakota
That was a serious order “JIMBO47” must have cost some serious wedge.
Took this pic at Cherbourg about 12 years ago.
Well another day off constant rain never gave up all day, not torrential but all the day and more to come. me and me mate got the feed trailer up from the park this afternoon and installed it in the barn as tomorrow we are hoping to get the first 21 steers indoors, think they have had enough of the wet now and it is time. Got four more to bring up as well and the rest on the marsh we will try and get this week. Having to borrow a tractor cattle trailer as its far too wet to get me lorry down there, we will see how it goes cheers Buzzer.
Sunday morning came and I gathered the troops of volunteers to get some steers in, weather as of late was raining yet again but not a down poor so only slightly wet, as with everything good preparation is key so we erected gates where needed to ensure a smooth passage from park to barn and the first 21 came up like clockwork. Now I had all staff here we decided to get the other four up the footpath as well and that also went smoothly mainly as they are used to coming to a bag of grub and this makes the job so much easier.
Back round once they were all in the barn to collect the feeders and set them up in the lean two ready for feeding the hard grub tomorrow, then we all had a welcome cup of tea to end the mornings operation and some discussion as certain steers would look better on a plate but that’s nearly always in the conversation, just the 14 to get from the marsh now later in the week but by tractor and trailer as far to wet with the truck then book a TB test and that’s the next big job, Buzzer.
Buzzer:
Hey up Wrighty now here’s a tractor for you that wont go through your gateways, Buzzer.
Evening Buzzer
Yes and I’ve got the perfect trailer for it…
Cheers Wrighty.
How things have changed over the years, massive tractors pulling huge trailers with big weights and travelling quite long distances and fast too, even when you go to livestock markets there are increasing numbers of tractors pulling cattle trailers and some have come a distance but as the tractors of today are so quick they don’t take a lot longer than a truck.
Borrowed a 14ft Ifor trailer on behind me tractor to try and get the 14 steers up from the marsh today as its not supposed to rain but we shall see, its so much easier when its dry, then get on and TB test them all. The ones that are already in the barn holler every time they see me calling for more hard grub but its a lot easier feeding at home than outside, Buzzer.
Well that’s it and I got the harvest festival feeling, all is safely gathered in and happy munching in the barn. The marsh boys turn today 14 of them and we transported them in a borrowed Ifor trailer with the tractor pulling it, far to wet for ought else and also all feeders and gates back in the barn washed off and trailer returned. To honest it takes far longer cleaning up after than to actually do the job but we are done now so easier to fettle for them now and out the rain as well and we got lots more to come by the looks, cheers Buzzer.
Evening Buzzer
Been busy today changing tups and rud colour, tupping seems to be going quite well despite the weather and should be finished soon. Got the rest of the cows in today so now it’s into full winter mode with feeding and mucking out.
Cheers Wrighty.
Wrighty what is larl, is that another word for maize up your end as I never heard that before, with all 39 steers in a 75ft by 30ft barn its all go and looks like they are eating three round bales of haylage every two days and they need fresh litter.
Today I changed my TB test window to the first of November to the 1st of January and have a test booked for the 1st of November as I need to get these hummock’s moved on as eating me out of house and home, fingers crossed for a clear result. Think they eat more indoors as they are bored and just keep munching, cheers Buzzer.

Hiya Buzzer can I give you the Anglo Saxon interpretation for “Larl” ----- it means “Little” i.e. same as what’s in your under crackers !
Weather better and that’s typical now the steers are inside have to litter every other day and they eat three rounds of haylage in that time to boot and that all adds up and eats into any margins. Got a TB test booked for the 1st of November so if we go clear they will be gone out the door soon as, Buzzer.
Hi John
Thats loose change for you & at least you could take them old steers to market in style.
Cheers
Rich

Saw that on ebay Buzzer, it looks proper tidy and the interior of the cab looked very good.
Saw this tractor on a recent walk, not as tidy as wrighty’s new one.

Think that 143 may well have started life at Langdons no longer got my old phone no list so can’t check it out for sure. There was some fine tackle there in the early 90s for sure.
A blast from the past right here when Richard Derrick collected his new SedAtki, good bunch of lads shipping out on the love boat alongside our own out of Southampton working for Continental Freeze but at the same time we had just bought our four first FH’s and I know the choice we made was the right one, that’s along time ago now Buzzer.
Out early this morning to get ten bales of haylage back home, went early to avoid the forecast rain due here shortly and very high winds as well. My mate came at nine am so feeding as normal, litter up and three bales in the feed trailer. Just pleased they are not outside anymore as we have this incessant rain and wind completely different to last year when it was relatively dry, TB test Friday 0830 cheers Buzzer.
Took some pics this morning on a walk and come across this fine specimen. Do you know the breed Buzzer ■■
