No wonder TruckNet is going down hill

I like to call it helpful words of advice.

“acceptme” it seems i am not alone with my thoughts and others do not want to listen to your rantings, you are one of life’s perfect human beings who enjoys picking fault with others even though it does not directly effect you. In my first retort to your post i tried to show restraint and be courtiouse to you all the time underneath thinking to myself has this ■■■■■■ got nought better to do with his time than get his spy glass out and scrutinise every last inch of a picture to critisize its content instead of enjoying the general content. Think its maybe time you dont follow the Davies thread anymore as many do on here and find enjoyment of the mixed content therein, obviosly you dont give the bone up easily even though others would just drop it and let the subject die, have a nice day not. I agree entirely with you, Mr Davies!! As an ex trucker of more than 30 years experience, I have known your company for many years and have had nothing but respect for you and your boys. Even though I was less than 25 miles from your base, I never had the balls to apply for a job as your guys always seemed to be the bees knees and I didn’t think you would be interested in someone like me. About 10-15 years years ago, I used to pop in and buy some red from your boys for my fridge (I was doing work for Trans EC) and I was always in awe of your operation. Mind you, I don’t think acceptme would’ve got a job at your place either lol.
For the last few years, I have loved reading the antics of you, wrighty et al. The banter between you all is ace and long may it continue. Don’t let one little turd upset you. There are plenty on here ‘of the old school’ who enjoy this thread for what it is … a blast from the past. I also enjoy the farming aspect too. Very interesting!

Gel On, old chap :astonished:)

Hello BUZZER and all ,as for the comment made by acceptme I myself think that it was not meant as a criticism of the company whatsoever, just a pointer to what other people would think , if they were like the camera man and snap trucks , and yes they could highlight the drivers actions, so in my view he was just "acceptme "making you aware who else could have spotted the driver.

my god what I did when driving would make people hair curl, making ,tea toast, change clothes shave,i used to throw stuff on my bunk out of reach just to see if I could get it ,[all in Europe though never in England] to keep awake.
also acceptme has been to Tracy island, hes been around in a truck, so yes I would say he has done exactly the same as us all, no angel [lots of you should not do that] .but we learn…dbp.

Well the good weather had to come to an end and it has this afternoon, it’s getting wild and wet up ere but we have enjoyed the last week. Lambing is getting going now but it’s next week when things start to get busy, so hopefully the snow will stay away but it’s still only the beginning of March so owt could happen yet.
Caught another two moles today but that is getting hard work, the dry weather has driven them deeper under ground and makes them a lot harder to catch.
Another busy week on the driving front been up to Nairn and down to Ashford and a few places in-between…

Cheers Wrighty.

Great pics Wrighty. Out of intrest what’s your payload with that outfit ■■ How heavy are those large tractors ? Keep the pics coming !

Well said and I by no means am an angel my self. Just pointing out the obivious as it’s plain as day but it appears “buzzer” dose not see it this way. It’s amamzing what you can see from a bridge and if the
Driver is under the assumption that just because he is in a LHD and won’t be spotted doing something he shouldn’t which we all do from time to time then maybe he should have a gentle reminder next time “buzzer” is in the yard filling his jeep up.

FFS you cant drop that bone can you, as I stated in an earlier post when I put that picture up I did not even notice what you did as I did not have my super specs on like you. All things considered I don’t condone what you think the driver may or may not be doing at the wheel but the only one in control of that is the driver himself and what he does while out of supervision is down to him and him only.
Just because PDB had an opinion on your post don’t make it right to keep harping on about it, there were other posts decrying your actions in trying to pull holes in very varied topical thread and there words express there general enjoyment of looking in on a daily basis and also there dislike of you not dropping the subject.
In conclusion I have brought to the attention the detail of said picture to both my sons who now own the company jointly and if it gives you any form of satisfaction the driver will be spoken too, having said that I know from experience of some 45 years owning and running an International transport business we have always prided ourselves in the professional approach we have conducted our operations. No one is perfect of course but we do run a tight well run and legal outfit with smart up to date equipment and are very proud of that fact so it would please me greatly should you now drop your bone and return to your kennel, Buzzer.

Consider the bone dropped I would of dropped it ages ago if you hadn’t replied with your sarcastic comment about his ears. A simple acknowledgement would of surficed as I was trying to save face to your family company.

Evening Buzzer

Your last post is spot on, I don’t think there’s any of us “professional” drivers who at some point have not broken the law it happens and we all know it. This thread is not about nit picking others faults but to provide an interest for anyone looking in, which we hopefully do and lets hope that’s the end of his distraction.
DEANB my payload is 25tonnes and although no too clear in my last post I did have three tractors on, two 155hp tractors weighing about 7.7tonnes and a 175hp tractor weighing about 8.9 tonnes giving a total weight of approx 24.3 tonnes so nice and legal… :open_mouth:

Cheers Wrighty.

Never in any of my posts have I mentioned ears, best you scroll back and go and rattle sarcastic Kerbut’s cage, please don’t worry about saving face to our family company we are well equipped to do that for ourselves, Buzzer.

Ah indeed you didn’t apologise for the mix up. I saw your name and where it was mentioned so our two and two together. So for that I do apologise.

The sentiment was right, just the way in developed got way out of hand, only my opinion mind but now can we get on with what we are all here for please. One of the best threads on line in my opinion, second only to the 'Long Departed Southampton one, I am only biased as us Fareham boys get a look in from time to time

Keep the good stuff coming fellas!

Thanks for the info “wrighty” sounds like you have a good payload limit. I imagine that trailer is heavier than it looks.

Since this thread is a mixture of trucks and agricultural stuff heres an old article from 1964 about David Brown Tractors.
Bit smaller than the ones you carry “wrighty”
