Hello Buzzer
always interesting posts you put up,[Q]how many bales of hay[round] do you use for the bedding down to end up with what you got for spreading, another[ Q] do you use hay for silage, and molasses, if so, can you not put molasses in with the straw when used for the bedding down or would it affect the hoofs .
I expect cost management comes in to it some where down the line, however you do get double use out of the straw [but one get one free].dbp,
PDB when we had that 35 steers in that shed for 3months we used about five 5ft round bales of straw a week at 20 quid a go so not cheap, multiply that and its about 80 odd bales, the haylage I make meself and I had 120 bales in total but bought 20 extra to see me through, on top of that they all had about 2 kilos of hard grub a day as well. It don’t pay to add it all up else you probably would not do it at all, would be far better and cheaper if I could out winter then there is no litter cost but you need a well drained bit of ground for that else it ends up a mess, well drained chalk ground is good for this, cheers Buzzer.
Dean one of the cleanest second hand motors I ever bought foe the grand sum of K5, was ex Bowyers of Calne and came in there dull brown livery with only one rear little corner panel had a rust hole. Had her painted and into work pulling SCAC trailers out of Pompy docks, you cant see it in the picture but had " she smiles at the miles " written on the bumper in red, all round lovely motor cheers Buzzer.

Dean was in the yard yesterday and one of the units was having a new set of rims as well, its cheaper than to blast and spray the old ones and just keeps all looking tidy, Buzzer
Well the good weather had to come to an end and it has this afternoon, it’s getting wild and wet up ere but we have enjoyed the last week. Lambing is getting going now but it’s next week when things start to get busy, so hopefully the snow will stay away but it’s still only the beginning of March so owt could happen yet.
Caught another two moles today but that is getting hard work, the dry weather has driven them deeper under ground and makes them a lot harder to catch.
Another busy week on the driving front been up to Nairn and down to Ashford and a few places in-between…

look at his hands hes holding a device… It dosent bother me but if i ran a company i wouldn’t want it publicised that i condone such practice
Hey up mate by the tone of your post it does bother you a tad, for a start you don’t run the company neither do I any more as I am retired, to be honest I did not even spot what you did and just looked at it as a decent picture. All our trucks are fitted with hands free devices so as to eliminate this action but at the end of the day I just posted a picture of one of our trucks going about its work and what any driver does ours or anybody else’s when out of sight of management is very hard to control if at all, so just admire the work of a truck photographer and be happy with that just saying that’s all, Buzzer

Evening John
I don’t think you need to explain or justify your position on here tbh! it would be very difficult to prosecute anyone on that picture and I have honestly seen a lot worse going on in vehicles!!

Indeed nor you or I run the company but don’t you think that when you can plainly see a driver doing something he shouldn’t that you then should not plaster the photograph all over the internet? Yes it would be hard to prosecute From that photo o agree but if something did happen I’m pretty sure the media would pick up on this photo and use it. After all the do monitor this page. Just look at the sponsors. I know exactly what your trucks are fitted out with so there is no need to have anything in ya hands especially when it can be used as incriminating evidence. Just trying highlighting the issue to you that is all.
Ah, it’s a wet windy Sunday and you couldn’t take Beano out for a walk so you thought you would spend your time picking fault here, maybe change your log in name to Wayne Kerr

It couldn’t last could it 327 pages of easy reading and now as seems in most TruckNet subjects these days a ■■■■■ slapping excercise has started .
No wonder TruckNet is going down hill
