Hi Melv, yeh that sounds typical of Keith.
You must be retired by now I reckon Melv, not too long for me now.
Take care mate…Tony.

Hi all, I,ve just had an e mail from Eddie Huntley.
He looks on T/net but for some reason he can’t log in.
Re the possible forthcoming outing, Eddie wants 2 seats reserved for him and Connie.

Regards jimmer

Hi Richard. This " Italian Job " Does it have anything to do with a “French Job” or maybe a “■■■■■■■■” ? Regards Charlie

Jim just put a fruit machine in the seat behind Richard Greens and Mappo will be safe, any ways there seems to be quite a bit of interest in this old reminiscent jaunt so it really could be a goer think we ought to make a list of those who are serious about it and lets see if we can get this trip air borne, what do you think Buzzer.

Just to help GAZIOW out: I noticed this week on my trip home a relatively “new” development in the roadside assistance deals that can be had…if you spot a camper van parked just off the carriageway (in a field maybe) and there is a lamp illuminated in the windscreen I take it that means “Open for business”. The first one I saw caught my eye (04.30)…by the time I saw the third one (07.15) I got the gist of it…No one answered to Valerie tho!

Blimey Gary,

You must have been up at the crack of Dawn !

John,

I found this photo of one of Mr Green’s coaches the last time he went over the Cenis,I’m sure we’ll be ok though,I’ll try and arrange travel insurance for us all. :unamused:

Regards
Richard

Dear Richard I hope that insurance policy is not with the broker that you used to use “Flogit and Spendit” as I have herd that they are not trustworthy and our cover would be useless. Remember Bill Darke, I can paid the full green card up front about K3 in the day and found he did not pay Norwich Union but fair play to them they actually kept me covered as they knew I had paid the premium and could prove it, more careful after that little fiasco, cheers Buzzer.

I’d be more concerned on the Goods in Transit insurance on this trip…just in case the valuables ended up down the mountain!

Newhaven-Dieppe Tony, popular Spanish route, docks at 04.00, gel on before the traffic gets too busy, however Evreux to Tours was a nightmare being a monday morning, twistlock turkeys, roundabouts, traffic lights, kids going to school…grrrrrr! I much prefer early hours of sunday morning!

Docks at 0400 Gazzer :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
You,ll never get me on that one these days, bloody early mornings. :imp: :imp: :imp:
I know that back in the day, we all, well most of us anyway used to work round the clock and
still keep going !!! and think nothing of it…'twas the norm…
Nowadays though I really struggle…I mean really struggle so the very first thing I,m gonna do
when I retire, is throw away the bloody alarm clock…

I remember shipping through Newhaven for a short period, wasn,t there a port tax we had
to pay, about £7 I think.

Tone I am worried that when you do retire you are going to just sit in a chair and vegetate, you really ought to have a forward plan in place as you need a hobby or maybe several hobbies to keep you on your toes, you could come and dig my veggie plot if you like that will keep you fit and you get the odd cabbage to take home, and I would make you a cup of tea and a bacon sarnie, now I know you would have competition for this post if dear old Charlie ever gets his heavy duty batteries for his go kart but he’s been wittering on about that for months and has not got any where yet, he was seen lirking on the A34 the other night in a layby of parked up trucks and every one knows he was trying to nick some power plants of one of those poor unsuspecting hard working truckers, shame on you Charlie and I hope you went to church this morning to seek redemption for this despicable act, you will never go to heaven mate, and you might even not be eligible for the intended European tour if this gets out Buzzer

Buzzer. In reply to your statement re “lurking” let me inform you that I have picked up a little sideline doing security work for several hauliers checking on the vehicle road worthy ness. This also includes examining the battery retaining straps. Anyway they were too heavy to lift. Tony. Don’t throw your alarm clock away. You will need it if you take up Buzzers more than generous offer. You could more than double your state pension. And think of the bacon sandwiches. If only I could get hold of some heavy duty batteries. Now then. When is this trip going to occur? I need time to renew my passport. Regards Charlie

Now then Buzzer, I know it sounds idyllic to just lounge about all day,
but I know i,d soon get fed up and bored.
Digging your veggie plot is definitely out of the question…my back wouldn’t stand
up to that…BUT the tea and bacon sarnie with a few freebies thrown in sounds
right up my street.
As for taking up a hobby, maybe I could stand on Bursledon bridge taking lorry numbers… :unamused: :unamused:
On second thoughts…

Tone I do own a rotovator that takes all the hard work out of this gardening lark mind you the FYM would have to be spread but then you have had plenty of practice stirring the pervervial
.
Charlie this trip would be in the spring of next year, not sure if Mappo can make it cos of the gardening duties.

PS. Tone forgot to tell you the other Charlie that is (Dimock) would be helping and guiding you in the garden and she wears no bra and there is a lot of bending over involved, now are you interested ? Buzzer.

Buzzer, if you offered me £50 an hour for 4 hours a day which includes an hour
for lunch and 2 half hour tea breaks I might consider your kind offer…
Oh forgot to mention, it’s gotta be cash in hand. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:
