Hi Saviem glad to here you are motoring on with the harvest, soon be time for a little rest from daylight to dark working, nearly as bad as when we were on the road eh !
Cattle gone but missing them already, sold locally to a beef farmer producer. You have to do the maths and although I did not get quite what I wanted at home there were no haulage charges no commission and market dues which on 24 cattle would have come close to a grand, they were picked up the following morning cheque in hand straight to the bank.
Think you have summed up well Andrews contributions and this gives an insight of what its like on international roads of today, never minded the paying the toll’s in Italy when you take into consideration all those viaducts and tunnels must have cost a fortune to build.
It is sad all the restaurants that have now closed, each with there own speciality dishes and only because they have been bypassed by the motorways but that is progress I suppose, will never be the same as in our day.
Might have to go to Frome Friday and get one or two more cattle if the trade permits, bbfn Buzzer.
PS. The pigs have also been dispatched, another 365lbs of fine sausages in the freezer plus chops !
Buzzer:
Well pointed out Bullitt, exactly what I was saying to Andrew in the yard last week and he replied that he was to busy to post pictures then he goes and contradicts himself on here, luxury travel in superior motors in nice weather good money and plenty of RAR to boot, don’t know there born these lads, cheers Buzzer.
In my defense I’m too busy to post whilst by the pool in restaurants or on the beach & doing the odd bit of driving I know which I would rather be doing than sat by the puter
Regards Andrew
You,ve run with that a few times Gazzer, when it was blue of course
with yours truly at the helm.
I remember once climbing the Simplon with ya Gary and you left me standing.
You did wait for me though.
Geoff Gilbert is I believe at this moment in time restoring an F89 as he obviously has a soft spot for them, alright in there day but were hot in the cab with that girt engine between driver and passenger seats , painful in Italy in summer as any one who drove one will remember none the less a good old workhorse, Buzzer.

You do the model Jim and i’ll get it sold for you as Geoff Gilbert would deffo be interested, Buzzer.
PS. The Wheat Sheaf pub at Shedfield has apparently been closed down due to an expected influx of potentially unidentified aliens. There is no conformation as yet so the place will shut until the relevant authorities give the all clear which could take some time. Just a friendly warning to avoid disappointment that’s all, cheers Buzzer.
With reference to the above photo kindly put on by MaggieD,
I would like to dispel any rumours that I have finally given up on
the wearing of aforementioned footwear.
Hear is a photo taken only yesterday of me out walking with my real mates…
I,ve even got the missus wearing em.
Cooorrrrr blimey Tone that’s asking for it !!!
I will have a go Buzzer but won’t be for a while, on one now and two waiting!
Was surfing to day came cross this, obviously not everyone liked the two tone blue.
Good find Jimmer.
Here you go then, same motor, in 3 colour schemes on the same page.
I know which I prefer.

Your Mrs bet you get a shock when you wake up Tone, JD.
Never met Mrs.Mappo so I assume shes not blonde…
She is Gazzer, honest…that,s her sitting on the beach when we
were in Barbados last week.
This is the reaction from TIR Tone when offered a roast beef dinner from the Boss as he had already eaten on the boat and could not face another meal, Buzzer.
Bloody hell Buzzer, I had hair n everything then.
Don’t forget JD, that when I got home, I had to eat another one.
Just come back from the Wheat Sheaf annual get together, lots of old faces that look even older than last year but that is time telling us we are. Lots of miles done I am sure and old stories told even if it is the second or third time in as many years, lets hope every one stays fit and well to do it all again next year, Buzzer.
