Hi Seth, I was brought up on a farm and was constantly told to never turn your back on any Bull and be mega aware the whole time, at the end of the day they are an animal with a brain and you could never tell when they are about to flip so caution at all times is best. My old man got caught out by a bull in his pen and the only thing which saved him was a manger built across the building with concrete blocks, he fell in that after being tossed in the air and the bull could not gore him, saved his life. That Highland bull in market was quiet but what a reach he has if he swung his head round could catch you easy, cheers Buzzer.

The Woolston ferry also about 1920, there was a song written about that by a chap called Gutter Percher, Buzzer.

Buzzer is that where they built the new bridge in the late 70s or early 80s as there was a tank cleaning firm at the other side but it was a drag round to clean out if you had tipped and had to reload at Hythe
cheers Johnnie

P S it is over 20 years since I was in southampton

Hi SO yes that is where the bridge was built and opened in 1976, they said it would be paid for in 20 years and then it would be toll free but they are still charging today. If you went over in a truck would cost you £25 so only the few have a licence at a cheap rate, cheers Buzzer.

Buzzer I can remember it being built but never used it as the cost then was ridiculously expensive for a wagon, but I could have booked it :unamused:
cheers Johnnie

Tone is that just a shot of the mountain or did someone hit him in the back of the legs with a baseball bat just as he pressed the shutter, cheers Buzzer.

Ha ha Buzzer,I guess it could have been.
Meanwhile here,s yet another one of Richards.
Now I,m sure everyone that did the job will recognise where this is.

Hi Tone going over there I enjoyed very much, specially coming out from Prato late at night after loading at Albini & Pitigilani to get up there in the cool air and away from the smell of burning crap in the flatlands round Torino and of course them mozzies, cheers Buzzer.

Evening all, now I can remember feeling very “smug” at that point with a “big” power Gardner 150, and 12 speed, having three more gears left in the box if I really was struggling…and if I looked out of my window…which I did a lot…the wheel studs were hardly going round…

But I was up, up and away from the heat, and as Buzzer says the “mozzies”, and far better than in my S20 Foden with the 4LK, at that point I was always a little nervous…up…or down…still cannot remember which was worse!!!

Cheerio for now.

Just for the memory, is that not where Ron Griffiths of STS started as an office boy, Buzzer.
