So is mine Good Luck Steven the lads will get you to 5K

Regards
Richard

Just a quick thank you to those who have already contributed to the charity that Steven is supporting by running the London marathon, every donation helps no matter how big or small so if you have not done so yet please help him through the five thousand pound barrier and beyond. He is training very hard and on Sunday did 20 miles in 2hrs 37 min in warm conditions so Richard don’t think he will need a forty five to get the job done, any way he is under seven and a half tonnes so no tacho required.
Just to reiterate please give what you can to support Steven , it is easy to do on line so if you feel inclined the details are on this page kindly brought up to date by Tony Mapson.
He has had a fantastic response so far and I know he wont let you down, thank you once again, Buzzer.

PS. Before any one says I have never owned a pair of trainers and don’t want to .

Go on Buzzer you don’t need trainers !! Wear your wellies

Good luck Steve

Jim I went to Bartley school near where Pat lives, we used to have to do cross country runs round Windsor and back round by Pat’s house. Me and two mates went the other way round and just past Pat’s place there used to be a café, we just sat down to sausage and chip’s and in walked the PE teacher,(he used to follow round on a bike) caught us red handed and would’nt even let us finish, we had to get up and go and the next three lunch times we had to run round the playing field ten times as punishment, cheers Buzzer.

Hi John yeah I should think so too !! I remember that old cafe if memory serves me it’s now converted into a private house, Pat will correct me, I always remember a place right by that cafe there was an old willys Jeep looked like it had been there since The war, I always wanted to knock and ask about it, but it looked like a place where you’d find a big bad ■■■ junkyard dog !!

Hi Jim

That was John and Shelia’s cafe

He was always miserable but did cook a mean breakfast!

Shelia is still about and lives in Totton but poor John died not too long after they sold the cafe.

New forest Ice Creams bought the place but after a couple of years it closed, I believe it is now a home where special needs people are cared for!

So not far for me to go

Regards Pat

I see another Davies Truck, R1 GEL, pic for sale on Ebay!!!

Hi John. How did you find that out? We were hoping to keep it a secret. However I think that we are in with a chance. Pat can put his best foot forward and if he falls over, I can give him a hand. Known as teamwork. Haywain sounds like a good first stop. Regards Charlie

. That reminds me of my favorite joke… Which I’m sure you all know… A white horse goes into a pub… The barman, looking astonished, says " we’ve got a whiskey named after you!!! ". The horse says " what, Eric■■? " good luck to all… Balders.

Richard I did not know you started out in the sweet business but found some evidence, cheers John.

Hi John,

Yes I know you’ll find it hard to swallow, but Mappo was the driver and I was his van boy when I used to get days off from my nursery school

We sold it soon after because it Ad e noids from the gearbox :unamused: An Italian called Toni Cilitas brought it and re registered it in France, I think he was transporting condoms with it, because it had French letters on the number plates.

Richard I nearly choked when I read your reply, it was a gob stopper moment and now I understand why every one said you and Angie had sweet ■■■■ cess and tre bon bon to you both. I know some people snicker at your achievements and rolo over laughing, but you both saw the Turkish de light and carried on in a new venture which turned into a marathon and earned you a mint. Now you have retired from the heavies, you are up and down like a yoyo (your too young to remember them) and I can see you now laying in bed looking at the galaxy and wondering when the phone will ring confirming a trip to York y by gum lad, by the way Mappo has a bounty out on your head suggesting he is older than you so keep 'em peeled, he has a fishermans friend who is a bit hot he will be disguised as a minstrel so you need to be a smarty to avoid him, the pick and mix is now closed cheers JD.

Saw another Skoda in Bicester today, R88 GEL, big fella in the saddle!
