Davies Int. Southampton. With photos (Part 1)

Who remembers this chap, he subbied for us for a while with a 1626 Merc then jacked in and sold the truck to Barry Barnes who took it on a one way journey to the Middle East but said it took him an extra week to get there as it was gutless, Buzzer.

img271.jpgDug some more old pictures out but the following one’s are down to Mappo and Winky who along with FT have to go on the arsonist list. Winky said it was Mappo and vice versa and all because the bloke in Manchester would not tip them because it was twenty to five so they lit her up and ■■■■■■ of to the pub, it knackered the trailer as well as it got a bit warm once it got going. In case you are going to try and wriggle out of this one Mappo it was in august 1983 god your an old git, cheers Buzzer.

PS. Very thoughtful Mappo you parked by an ample water supply !

Tony,

I might not be able to act for you in this case as I am already acting for Winky in a case involving a Coronation St actor, and I know you don’t know the difference between arson and ■■■■■■ because you set fire to your sister !

Best of luck
Richard

Richard if you need any advise on this case you should look no further than FT, as you are probably aware he is an expert in pyrotechnics and lives locally so would cut down on overnight expenses during the case should you take him on, Rgds John.

I know Nothing.

Richard.I`m a little bit peeved with you.I was busy composing a little story concerning Mappo and his sister when you popped up with your missive.Well out of order.Hope you and the lovely Angela are well.Regards Charlie

MaggieD…Richard and Charlie, I must confess I,m bitterly disappointed in the
two of you when you were both sworn to secrecy regarding my past. :unamused:  :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Hey Richard I never knew about that, he was a proper gentleman, well compared to Mappo anyway. Always dodging the blame even when we had him bang to right’s that one, I don’t know how he sleeps at night probably with one eye open John.

Hi buzzer sent you a pm

One from the past looking good though, Buzzer.

img275.jpg

If you remember Buzzer, I had the pleasure of driving R88 from new.
One of the first two Dafs on the fleet…John ( axle ) Eaton drove the other one.

Mappo stood at the Pearly Gate
His head was hung quite low
Enquiring of the man therein
Which way that he should go.
What did ye do in latter life
That ye should enter here?
I drove a lorry for DIT
For many and many a year.
St Peter smiled and gently pushed the bell
Come inside and choose your harp
Youve had your share of hell!

No offence intended.Regards Charlie

You may well laugh Charlie but if you ask Mappo he will probably tell you that when he drove for us it was the best job he ever had, especially when he drove C789 BPO coss at heart he is the biggest poser on this earth, cheers Buzzer.

Nice one Charlie. Very funny.

I must confess that I did indeed spend many happy years working for J D
especially during the early years of two tone blue…When the office was in
the kitchen…Very handy when shipping in on a night crossing.
Still to this day never had a breakfast as good as Jill the boss used to make.

I admit that I was I suppose a bit of a poser in those days John, but the two tone blues
did look the business.
I have to say though that my posing days have long long gone.
Only one year, two months and 25 days to go…not that I,m counting. :unamused: :unamused:
