Hi mr buzzer, that is absolutely stunning! I have trouble picking colours for my model trucks incase I ruin a rare kit, but to pick colours for the real thing and get it so right is brilliant!
Interesting story about the paint shop too, I bet there’s not that many left that would take such care and attention in a paint job these days, maybe I’m wrong?
A friend of mine enquired about getting his old vw corrado re sprayed last week, he rang up a chap in Cheshire and was quoted 12k! I know you get what you pay for, and you know yourself how satisfying it is when it turns out to be a stunning job.
I really do like your original colour scheme, it looks great on the f88, and just as good on your old globetrotter’s too!
Jimski did a fantastic job on the f12 he built ’ the joker’ globetrotter, can I ask how you came about the idea for the colours you chose please, and how you ended up going with the later blue and white scheme?
The blue and white are very effective together much like the roff trucks back in the eighties.
It will be interesting to see your new trucks, they would look great in the old colours I think !
Hi Harryvr6 to be honest I cant remember how we came up with the two tone blue scheme and red chassis but it did look good and I think it was influenced by the paint shop boys, the blue and white of today is things moved on and with the inception of plastic graphics we just ordered the trucks with factory painted blue chassis and the rest was stick on vinyl all to do with cost especially when we were buying 10 or 12 new trucks every year, same with our reg numbers they used to be reasonably priced and then they got greedy so we just keep the same ones some of which will be going on there forth new motor cheers Buzzer.

Been away for a couple of days at the Dorset County Show with the horses, varied success had a win on Saturday with a pair in the exercise class and 3rd on the Sunday in the teams so not too bad, cheers Buzzer.
