Dave Symons, Plymouth, RIP

I havent been on for quite a while but thought Id pop a post up for my dad. He passed away last April from a sudden heart attack at the age of 70, and its been a hard time emotionally for the family ever since. It came as a great shock to everyone who knew him as he looked in the peak of health. He started driving in the early sixties and worked for various companies during his career. Starting on the coal wagons, then ECC quarries, Miners of Ashburton, H.T.Gardner of Plymouth, Jude Haulage, ARC mixers, then Ready Mix. He had a bad accident back in the 60s when a crane jib hit his back, in hospital for 18 months, it was touch and go all the way. He returned to driving but was classed as 60% fit throughout the rest of his life. The day after he retired at 65 he sent his hgv licence back, he said hed never go back to it as there were too many idiots on the road these days.
RIP Dad
