Where is the best place to get one of these things, I am getting paranoid now about all the idiots and scammers out there, I think it’s about time I got one of these to keep me safe.

i’d only ever watched the film it took on it’s built in screen until tonight. the picture quality is ok, perfectly good enuf for acident recording, but the sound quality is shockingly bad. i’d also never watched a 2 minute clip all the way to the end, so hadn’t noticed that the video freezes for the last few seconds. i thought i better watch it all the way thru to make sure i wasn’t on the phone swearing at office staff, all you can hear is me going thru my mp3 player trying to find something i want to listen to
there are other little problems with this one. the “night vision” is a few infra red LEDs either side of the lens. all these do is reflect off the screen and blind the camera. they don’t produce enough light for the camera to see anything more than a few inches away. but fortunately you can turn them off. every now and then they come back on by themselves, so i just put some black insulting tape over them. it also has a habit of forgetting the date and time - the vid wasn’t taken at 12:40 am. as soon as i can afford it, i’m going to get a roadhawk or similar, but for the time being, this will do. i know it ain’t perfect, but for the money you can’t really complain
EDIT: the jerky video is photobucket. it was fine before upload! they have also cut off the last few seconds where the picture freezes and sound continues
I have an app on my android phone called ‘Daily roads voyager’. I can’t remember if it is free, or if I paid for it. But if I did pay for it, it was less than a couple of quid.

On the flip side of the positive, do you have your rucksacks on standby just in case any incident happens to be your fault? Dash cam, what dash cam…
Last thing you want to be doing is incriminating yourself
