WHAT GETS MY BACK UP IS THE SPEED LIMITS GOING INTO THE TUNNEL 50MPH THATS IS JUST STUPID,YOUR ENTERING A CONFINED SPACE,SHOULD BE 30/40MPH.ESPECIALLY WITH LIKES OF SUPER MARIO LOOKALIKES THE GOOD OLD FOREIGN DRIVER.
Common sense could prevail: you don’t have to do 50.
Or write in capitals…

We used to use the tunnel regularly in the 80s and 90s when it was one tunnel, two lanes, each way. It was 10mph minimum, 50mph max then as well. If the tunnel was an accident black spot the speed limits would have been reduced years ago. It’s a straight road, one way, no pedestrians, horses or cyclists, everyone’s expected to stay in lane.
I suspect there will be more speeding in the tunnel once all the barriers to entry have been removed, as people will be slowing down rather than speeding up on entry.

No, 20MPH is stupid which is what it was last week with some dodgy looking speed cameras near the entrance to the tunnel
Them dodgy looking speed cameras are where my tag bleeps so i guess they are the toll collect cameras
