Well someone needs to pay for the free tags that the local residents get

i can’t believe that the matter of increased tolls was even considered in the present economic climate.
this is just the usual out of touch pen pushers doing the usual [zb].

It’s reasonably priced compared to the Severn bridge. I know it’s free to get out of wales, but £17 whatever is a lot more than 2 trips across the thames

Agree with you there Phil especially as it was supposed to be free once it had paid for itself. Goalposts moved, and taxpayers and hauliers hit yet again. Plus extra fuel waiting at the bloody booths. They won’t want a relieif crossing done for a while yet I’ll bet! I’ll swear from here on: ■■■■■■■ swindling goverment ■■■■■! :imp:

they are going up as they are removing the toll both going from Essex to Kent, it will be the same as the severn bridge you only pay one way it is going up for cars also … it is suggested it will save on x amount of carbon foot print and help the economy by easing traffic jams in the morning … it makes sense to be fair

Sold to a French company by the Labour government in 2003, tolls were continued after the bridge was paid for to contribute to ‘‘environmental schemes’’, remember Tony Bliar and Gordon the Moron needed money from somewhere to pay for their green wars and eco champagne socialist life styles

After dropping the tolls on the Humber bridge, traffic volumes have increased by 43000 vehicles in a month.

That surely is a lesson to be learned at the Dartford Crossing

Dartford river crossing was taken over by the Highways Agency, only the booths are privately operated it is government owned now
