Does anyone know what happened to Roland Munch? I was thinking of going after a job there at one time, nearly every motor you saw around Hamburg area at one time was one of theirs. Their fleet must have been massive.
Im sure im not imagining it, but did they at one time start registering their motors in Lux?

Roland Munch became a part of DFDS in the late seventies (1976 - 1978 ?), but remained under their own name.
In the eighties DFDS had 2 major transport companies, Roland Munch on the main land and their sister company, TH Pedersen & son, from Copenhagen .
I believe they merged 1995, still under the name of Roland Munch Transport a/s.

In 1998 Roland Munch became a major shareholder of Spetra transport ( 75 %). In 2002 they lost their name when they merged with Sperta transport Luxemburg, and were from then on Spetra.
In 2007 they all became DSV.

Thanks for that bald. Interesting to know .It was between 1998 and 2002 that i was seeing them everywhere.

There was also another Danish company, Scanvol or Volscan, they had a lot of trucks as well.
They ran low-ride Volvo FH’s with mega trailers, they also went down the Luxembourg registration route.
I cant remember if their trucksa were purple-ish in colour or a kind of brown/tan colour.

Just thinking while washing the cars, i think they may have been called Swe-Dane.

He lives near Woodbridge in Suffolk, he doesnt get home much. I met him just after he got that, and had a look inside, its typically Danish inside, button press leather etc.
