Dangerous load?

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gl … e-33608816

Lad points for creativity but let down by not using a towing board giving the rozzers an easy pull.

He is just yards from a scrapyard as well, unlucky.

I wish I was shocked, but I’m not… :unamused:

COULD be summoned for motoring offences? Either it was dangerous or it wasn’t.

Insecure Load is hard to prove after the event particularly if it didn’t fall off. Possibly license offence if post 97 license and van is > 750kg. Not sure if unbraked trailer over that limit is an offence in itself too.
Lack of number plate and lighting board is the easy picking if they are determined to get him for something.

I have to admit for being slightly proud of his ingenuity though and slightly with he’d got away with it!

EDIT just realised he is towing another car and van…now THAT is optimistic!

If there isn’t a pivot, will it count as a trailer or just a multi-axled vehicle?
Thinking about it, wouldn’t lights and number plate would be a 7 day defect notice?

I have now realised that the first car is towing the 2nd car too…! So it definitely constitutes a trailer and a rather heavy one at that…as the ‘trailer’ is now almost certainly exceeding the tow car in weight that is instantly an illegal combo. They will have a field day in traffic division trying to work out this one!

Police stop him make a big hoo haw post pictures on their daft Twitter accounts…yet let him walk away scot free! Yet a lorry driver who forgets to bring a extra till roll for dvsa printouts gets a 100pound fine

What a bloody world we live in :unamused:

Bloody hell, me too! Probably didn’t do him on the spot because they couldn’t figure out every law he’s broken!

How did that go round corners? With the “trailer” wheels spaced as they are I would have thought that steering would be a problem :open_mouth:
