dangerous driving.

Gas Gas you’ve never been to Italy indeed you’ve never left Gloucester, expect you heard that tale in a journalistic restroom by Skype.

Playing Devil’s Advocate, it wasn’t dangerous driving, there was no crash, by the Rumo or anybody else and he managed to stop when the Old Bill wanted him to, it may have been a questionable tactic, but it wasn’t actually dangerous driving.

It was however very stupid…

So what your saying is dangerous driving is OK so long as there is no accident■■?

By not crashing the driver proved it wasn’t dangerous. Some people consider walking across a yard without a HiViz and steel toe caps dangerous, it is a matter of perception

hey, im quite a new driver so do not claim to have the experience of many people on here. But You say because no accident occurred it proves the drivers actions were not dangerous. I see no logic in that… So I can aim a firework at a crowd of people and It would only be classed as dangerous is someone actually got injured? I know its a extreme example but it uses the same logic as you do

When I sat my test. I am sure I would have got a serious fault if I put my feet up on the dash. Also how would that driver be able to react quickly if an emergency should have occurred. Surely you should always be driving in a professional and alert manner?

In my original post, I said I was playing Devil’s Advocate.

The dangerous or not example I used is just a play on words. It was clearly not dangerous, but more a case of likely to be a danger.

Similarly it wasn’t dangerous driving, that would be thrown out of any court by anyone with 30 secs of Open University legal knowledge, as nothing went wrong.

My personal thoughts on it, the driver is a complete idiot and was very reckless, I don’t think it is acceptable to drive like this at all.

That’s the standard driving position for Italian truck drivers.

It’s safe too, because they have about 1 metre separation on the Autostrada so , if one were to brake there would be a disaster. By keeping really close to the truck in front, no one can cut into the lane and force anyone to brake.

Its a technique learned form the USAAF 8th Air Force in World War 2, where the Flying Fortresses were supposed to keep less than an Me Bf 109’s wingspan away from each other on all sides. Made it impossible for the opposing fighters to dive through the bombers, and in pulling up/turning away they were a good target for the gunners.

Or that’s what an Italian truck driver told me…

Actually the USAF was rubbish. That’s the reason they done “carpetbagging”, cos they could not find a single target.

Went past a drive r the other day with a small tv screen in his cab on the left obscuring his vision surely thats illegal .But I hasten to add I never called the police. As faras Iim concerned its up to the authorities unless its dangerous driving.
