dangerous driving.

You a tanker driver by any chance?
[/quote]
What makes you ask that question?

Ah! Rocky, just cracked open a couple of Beaujolais Nouveau dated 2010 god it was £$%^&.‘ME’ Middle East well there you are. thanks for that info, something learnt every day,
thought it was some ■■■■■■■■ transmitted disease.

Good buddy Rocky I have to ask…what’s a ‘ME’ driver, as a pensioner in 4 weeks I am sure you will understand my mental frailty.

I think it means he’s driven here

If you had have had my life friend you wouldnt think so, also no incident occured because a sad little [zb] like me put a stop to it before it did…

if you’ve been driving 50 years, hurry up and RETIRE! :sunglasses: please stop thieving oxygen, before anything happens to you on the road! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

At the moment I am still fit enough to drive an HGV,(i’m 70), When I feel I am not,I will pack it in.Apart from the obligatory medical I have one off my own bat every 6 months just to be sure,I have cut down to working 3 days a week so I wont get to knackered, but I reckon I can still hold my own on the road. And no, I’m not a tanker driver,I spent about 40 years on continental /ME work, up to being 65. these day’s I am a trade plater, easy job, no timed deliveries, I drive all brand new vehicles, and the odd time that I need a lift ,most "professional " drivers look away as if they have not seen me.

You can phone the old bill when driving.

No, you can’t, if you do they ask you to pull over and remind you that it’s an offense to use a phone while driving

Tipper Tom:
Put simply, they did! I called to report an accident (not mine, road blocked, etc) I was reminded by the bloke on the phone it’s an offense to use phone while driving.

Can you imagine actually picking him up, him being in your cab whilst you’re driving for say 2.5hrs?? How many things would he be able to report you on in 2.5hrs?? :open_mouth:

Playing Devil’s Advocate, it wasn’t dangerous driving, there was no crash, by the Rumo or anybody else and he managed to stop when the Old Bill wanted him to, it may have been a questionable tactic, but it wasn’t actually dangerous driving.

It was however very stupid…

So what your saying is dangerous driving is OK so long as there is no accident■■?

Best you knock it on the head Rocky all I can see you’ve achieved is to ensure your fellow trade platers are passed by.

Nah!! I love winding people up, thats what this is all about, when I first started this thread(which by the way was the truth) I knew I would get all sorts of answers, and its good to see just who is what on here LOL

Because they’re not allowed to carry passengers and they’re scared of being grassed up for doing so. Others drivers, mainly colleagues from the same firm would actually call their company if this were seen contravening rules. Oh the irony.

By not crashing the driver proved it wasn’t dangerous. Some people consider walking across a yard without a HiViz and steel toe caps dangerous, it is a matter of perception

Saaamon:
Well done on passing your test, grassing people up for petty things like this will certainly keep you busy.

I got cut up (forced into the hard shoulder to avoid losing my o/s mirrors) by 2 coaches on the way back from the match on wednesday night from Newcastle. I hate dangerous drivers and I will definitly be investing in that dash cam ive been wanting to grass on idiots like this. Dangerous driving of any kind needs sorting. So I am totally on the side of the OP.

thehairyarsedtrucker:
Good on ya rocky. It never fails to shock me how other drivers stand up for complete tossers. That driver was an accident waiting to happen, he couldnt steer or brake properly and when, not if, he runs into the back or side swipes some innocent travellers…I hope its not your family members.

dont need to say it now you beat me to it well said, 100% agree

hey, im quite a new driver so do not claim to have the experience of many people on here. But You say because no accident occurred it proves the drivers actions were not dangerous. I see no logic in that… So I can aim a firework at a crowd of people and It would only be classed as dangerous is someone actually got injured? I know its a extreme example but it uses the same logic as you do

When I sat my test. I am sure I would have got a serious fault if I put my feet up on the dash. Also how would that driver be able to react quickly if an emergency should have occurred. Surely you should always be driving in a professional and alert manner?
