Hi Melchett - We meet again on this subject! No doubt you know my views well enough to know that my comments on “the authorities” were meant disparagingly. Unfortunately, their ineffectiveness and inertia is a major contributor to the problem. To make a comparison, the social underclass shown in the program are no more dog lovers than football hooligans are sports fans. Until someone shows some real guts over tackling this (expect a looooooong wait), we`ll doubtless be discussing this on here again before too long.

A lot of these dogs are owned by people who live on estates (I do) as a kind of status symbol. It’s all to do with a sort of hard man image, if you look at the attacks that have been publicised the demographic of the owners is typically a single, white working class male.

I reckon we broadly share the same opinion on this issue. “They may spring into action but do what?” wasn’t directed at you but was more of an exasperated, bang head on wall question… if you see what I mean?
I watched a program some time ago relating to the work of dog wardens/police & the seizure of possible PBT types. In one scene an elderly guy was walking his dog through a church yard only to be met at the exit by some jobsworth who took the dog off him as it “looked” like a PBT.
The dog was 8 yo (ish) & he’d had it from a puppy, the poor guy was in bits & didn’t have a clue what was going on… pretty sad viewing! I can’t remember if he got it back.
On the other hand, the scrotes we’re discussing seem to be immune from any action despite openly flaunting the law… the worlds gone f~cking mad.

No, I didn’t watch it, after the massive titted blondes dogs attacked each other, I changed the channel as I was getting enraged. I love dogs and can’t believe what I saw in the first 15 mins of this programme. Insecure guys who need dogs for protection, if I was out walking my dog and anyone started on us, I as a serious dog owner, would hope my dog runs away and doesn’t get hurt, as he isn’t just a dog but a much beloved member of my family. My blood boils when I think about these utter ■■■■■■■ shower of ■■■■■ being allowed to own a animal!!!

I know exactly what you’re saying, having done all I can to make sure that my two have been properly socialised/trained with people & other dogs to prevent aggression it does my head in to watch these muppets training their dogs to be exactly the opposite.
