11 plate merc actros… i discovered 2 broken fuel tank straps on said vehicle last night. where the strap runs across the top of the tank and fixes to the chassis bracket via a pin and clip. the loops at the end of the straps were both split… I checked its sister vehicle this morning and it also has a strap broken… So, if you drive one of these tubs have a quick check for yourself, just run your fingers round the end of the strap nearest to the chassis… it’s easy to feel if it is split… might just save someone a bit of grief…
