spoke to a lot of there drivers at the places we go to im at lomas on tankers the lads i sea say the jobs ok new.ish motors and hav just put the pay up to atrackt drivershope this helps mate

Yeah I’ve seen a few motors running back to goole, look tidy wagons and trailers!! Been asked to pop in on Saturday was just wondering if anyone knew if the coin was okay. Don’t want to drive Hull to Goole for a wasted visit 
Better to waste one tank of fuel / one trip to find out the £ or as maybe the case.
Than to take the job and be out of pocket until you find something new…

Yeah half hour… I don’t have a very economical car I should say! They do tramping so wouldn’t be a big issue if all goes well!

A large percentage of their workforce applied for Stobarts…
Apart from that, quite good wages from what I heard. Supposed to be a decent enough job the guy I spoke to was saying but you do the hours. Upside of that is that every so often, you end up sat at home for a few weeks to get the hours down for the WTD, but still on pay.
They must have gone on the Tesco job , with Stobarts then, thats supposed to pay well also,
damacs a good job, the lads are ace.
a few have gone over to stobarts because the wages are a bit better, but not by a great deal.a lot of the work is for our company, the cement in there silo,s is ours. we lease the silo,s and they look after it. they do other tank work aswell though.
they do nights out ( not sure how many, i think its 2 or 3 nights a week) and yes they do sixty hours a week and as said they get two weeks off (paid) to keep there average hours down to 48. they have there own units( renaults) / trailers . a clean fleet, well maintained. the guys in the office are sound. the drivers are a good bunch.
if i lived up there then i would rather work for them than stobarts but thats because i like the work. money is,nt everything. then again to earn the big money at stobarts you have to do a lot of weekends.
would i recommend the job, then yes, provided you dont mind the nights out then yes.

Just had an interview this week with Damac Transporters and there was loads missing from their job description that I now know and It may possibly help others out deciding if the job is for you or not.
As of March 2021 the wage is £9.80 per hour for the first 40 hours then £13.40 for the last 20 hours.
All vehicles are Renault Premiums.
Full on tramping only, sleeping out 4 to 5 nights per week.
£25 per night out.
£3 odd per day meal allowance.
Running out of Goole, Teesport or Blyth.
Loading up from Hanson sites and Breedon sites across the country.
Drivers must spend a full week doing induction at Goole.
Driver must ring Hanson / Breedon after every drop to find out where you are loading from and where you will be taking it.
C+E required.
