Once theres a lot of these on the road we
ll all see them as the norm, and theyll become ordinary. I dunno what the coefficient of drag is for one these compared to the brick wall dynamics of current trucks but if they do present a real fuel saving they
ll be here sooner rather than later.

The looks are good or bad depending on the spec and colour. But to drive and live with, they’re miles ahead of anything else on the market imho
The new FH Volvo is a really good drivers truck if slightly lacking personality.
Why are you putting the new Scania so far ahead of it?
Would love to hear more since you are one of the few familiar with both trucks or perhaps you have posted about this elsewhere.
Thanks in advance.
hahaha. Scania S…hit

I’ve had an fh4 for 2 and a half years, and getting a new one in 3 weeks. The Scania was quieter, more well built and far more luxurious inside, drove smoother and I’d hazard a guess that the thing will be a lot more reliable than the Volvo, which has been a bloody awful truck. The only reason we’ve bought more is because my boss likes a deal. And when you buy 30 a year like us, they’re one of the cheapest to operate. From a drivers point of view, new Scania all the way
When the fh4 and Renault t range come out people said they was ugly now you see them regular they look normal.
Although the new Scania like the fh can look great in certain colours and nothing special in others

Simple the scania cab is warmer and quieter lots and of wind noise from the sun roof and no isolation between the roof and head lining
To start with . Other than that it’s a great truck

I’ve always had a soft spot for Scanias despite their drawbacks.
The old 10 speed box was always short of gears at the top end and badly needed a splitter.
Never liked the 3 over 3 (GRS900■■) because its not natural for me if it’s not a H shift pattern.
I’ve never had an auto Scania but have heard the more recent ones were decent.
The Scania ride was always much rougher and noisier than the competition and while the cab was great from the drivers seat it was well behind the others to live in.
Now you guys reckon this is all sorted out so I am very keen to to get my hands one again!!
Unfortunately I can’t see that happening any time soon but fingers crossed and thanks for the info.

Saw this last night on the way back from Bradford at Roco Bodies.
I think its a but fugly.
would look better with spoiler. tbh those new scanias just look like someone has smashed the front flat with the back of a massive spade
I always thought a Scania handled much better than a Volvo, I’m talking about 4 series v FH era, the newest Scania I’ve driven was a 1998 144, so things may well have changed since then, but a Scania was always more sure footed when the going got twisty. A Scania with a fridge full of hanging wasn’t a problem to drive through a roundabout or S bend, whereas in a Volvo I tended to hold my breath and have both hands on the wheel.
