Do not need break if going onto rest
What if you had more work then U get the call saying it’s cancelled do you need to show other work for a period of time first if that 30 mins was a driving break

I am confused so please do something like this for me …
Drive 2 hours
break 15 mins
drive 2 hours
break 30 min
other work 15 mins
daily rest
If that was the case then it was a waste of time doing the 30 min break

Not quite correct, there are instances where you would definitely have to take a break before starting daily/weekly rest.

Only two I can think of …
One is where the driving time has got to exactly 4.5 hours and something else needs to be recorded before the rest begins
Other is where a RT(WT)R break is needed
What are these instances?

As has been said you don’t need a driving break if you’re going straight onto rest, so the anser to your question is yes you can pull the card and go straight onto your daily rest period.
Be aware though that a break at the immediate end of the shift does not count for the RT(WT)R.
