Daily rest on Portuguese toll roads

Aint been there for a while, how long can you park up for overnight. Some drivers had to pay a penalty at the toll point for staying too long on the motorway. How long is for France,Spain, and Germany too.It is in the very small print on the back of the ticket.

TOBY it has been posted on here before some time ago
you need to get off the Portuguese motorways to take
the 9–11 rest break mate, if not then yes it costs a lot
--------------
iN GERMANY when you have a OBU unit fitted there is
no time limit, how ever , when using the maut machines
along the route you will have a time limit set, it is better
when paying via the maut machine that you plan your trip
so that you say park up at or before the time limit runs out
So that you can the next morning book your ticket new ,
this means all ways parking where one can get the maut
look at
the Euro sticky s here are the maut sites posted

-----------
France & Spain no limit as regards time,

Thanks BP.

you can stay on the motorway for 12 hours so if you come off the junc before you want to park, then go back on you can take 11 hrs break then take next exit before carrying on with your trip,
Saying that, I can think of far better places to park in Portugal

Costa Lavos,Figueria da Foz,Cascais and Estoril, better to park up on the national roads, and have some of that cod stew with sauted potatoes and onions, washed down with “tango”,red syrup added to “super bock” beer. They have foot high sandwhices called a “franchesina”,everything in it.Green cabbage soup, tripe stew(very nice).

I’ve never had a sandwich that had green cabbage soup or tripe stew in it :open_mouth:

You’re a strange one Toby, why would you want to add red tango to beer, the only thing you need to add to beer is more beer :open_mouth:
