My overall daily hours are recording Other work from 00 hours, if i take a printout for a day i havent driven, its shows 24hrs other work.
Im thinking i must have entered a wrong manual entry when first using the card(New Card) , but i cannot be certain. either that or the card is faulty
i have taken a printout from two different vehicle and with the same result so it must be me or a faulty card
as you can see in the picture below it has recorded 14.47 other work,(from 00.00) before i drove.
this is happening even when i make a manual entry at the start of the shift for ( ? symbol ) from the end of last shift to start time, the printout in below picture is then taken after that shift. so im wondering why is it still showing other work if i have already accounted the time.
If anyone can shed any light on this would be great, new to tachographs and im sure i must be doing somthing wrong, thanks FlyinTDI
Looks like you must have left it on OW when you did the manual entry?
Yes i think that may be a possibility i will have to check again tommorow to be sure.
Although it happened when i put the symbol (?) for a manual entry aswell, in that case would it be a card problem?
you must have forgot to turn the mode switch to bed (daily rest ) at the end of your last shift before you took your card out, or you put in the wrong date in a manual entry. but why would you be making a manual entry if you have just had 24 hrs or more OFF DUTY ■■?.. If you never turned the mode switch to bed at the end of your previous shift it would automatically assume you are still on duty “EVEN” if you had taken your card out and hence the 14.47 working hrs from 00.00 at the start of a new day. take a printout from the previous day and see if it has you also on duty from the time you stopped working that day
the 2 min period showing at 14.47 is where you have put your card back in and it has defaulted to bed, you also have an infringement of 1 minute on a 15 hr spreadover

You cannot do a card printout for days that you haven’t inserted the driver card in a tachograph, so when you say you take a printout for days you haven’t driven, if your card was not in a tachograph on those days you must have been taking vehicle printouts not card printouts.
In the image you’ve posted it looks like you put other work for the manual entry instead of rest.

its strange tachograph because the 18th was my first time using the card and it let me do a card printout for the 14th i picked a random day after seeing the problem i had on the 18th, i wasnt driving then either and it says 24hours other work in overall hours
also i says ive used the card 29 times according to the last printout although ive only used it twice
im not sure if when making the card they needed to test it maybe
when i do a card events/faults printout its clear
i will have to have another look and see if im entering a wrong manual entry
