Daily check NVQ?

What’s this NVQ daily check story’s iam hearing coming in 2018 ?

RDC nonsense?

Don’t know ,don’t do rdc’s .

It’s a ■■■■ take … Went down well on Facebook - some drivers got very upset.

Here it is

The government have today announced a clampdown on goods vehicle drivers who fail to correctly carry out pre-use walk-around inspections of large goods vehicles.

Statistics show that a significant number of fatal road traffic incidents would have been completely avoidable in 2014/5 if drivers had properly carried out the necessary basic pre-use walk-around inspections of their vehicles.

There have been examples cited of road wheels falling from vehicles, dangerous loads and obvious lighting defects.

It is proposed that by 1st January 2018 all drivers of large goods vehicles of 7.5 tonnes and greater will be expected to have achieved the new NVQ qualification - Pre Use Safe System Inspection of Equipment.

Any driver failing to obtain the necessary PUSSIE qualification will not be permitted to drive a prescribed goods vehicle unless an appropriately qualified person has first carried out the statutory inspection of that vehicle. Any person in breach of the new regulations will be liable to prosecution.

I have done one day of a two day course to have a Level 2 NVQ in van driving. Yeah i have a C+E licence but it all helps :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :sunglasses:

NVQ = Not Very Qualified

I wouldn’t bet against something like that coming in, in the foreseeable future though. :open_mouth:

That’s it then cheers .

Considering all you have to do to obtain such a worthwhile qualification is to have an ex squaddie ride in the passenger seat with you for a few hours, ticking boxes and boring the driver with heroic stories of hauling tanks up Birdlip Hill?
Does anyone know did such an amazing story ended? Were there Jihadis lying in wait at Cirencester, or just doggers in that layby just past the Air Balloon pub? I fell asleep so never heard the ending.

I did a PUSSIE inspection yesterday morning, took me all of less than 3 minutes to complete… :sunglasses:
some of these guys must be hanging the job out .
Do you have to do a manual entry ? or is it POA ? :grimacing:
,
just asking like :unamused:

I usually do a pussie inspection before I put my card in! I’m salaried so not bothered about time. Inspection before is usually because when I get out of bed I need to stretch my legs etc and not wasting a walk without checking unit and trailer, especially when cold or raining! I’m not getting out twice for no reason

Don’t know about daily check nvq but DHL are bringing out something called a DHL diploma next year. You’ll sit 2 days worth of dcpc in a row then aswell as getting your hours uploaded, you’ll also get a wee certicfate saying you’ve got a Dhl diploma  who comes up way this utter garbage.

The Sarge:
NVQ = Not Very Qualified

 I like that.

You would struggle to get one though! It requires a video of doing it with no bad attitude :stuck_out_tongue:

If a PUSSIE inspection becomes mandatory I nominate Dipper Dave as the official Trucknet Trainer
