Hi all,I’m trying to complete an agency application form and the following question has got me stumped.
“You are about to install your tachograph, when you notice that the time on the clock is wrong, what should you do?”
I’m guessing that it’s either “just correct it” or “correct it and report the defect” or something but I’ve never come across this before.
Any ideas?

I would be a clever clogs and write, if it is a digital, you cannot correct it more than one minute, it must be reported and fixed by a tacho workshop.
The correct answer for an analogue, is simply correct it. It isn’t a defect as such.

The displayed time on a digital tachograph clock has no relevance to what’s written onto the driver card, digital tachographs use UTC time to write to the card whilst the displayed time on the clock will be local time, so the correct answer for a digital tachograph would be to either ignore it or correct it, either way it’s not a defect or even a problem as long as you remember it’s not the right time
Having said that I’d probably have to correct it as having the wrong time showing all day would probably annoy me.
On an analogue tachograph as Wheel Nut said, just correct it.
Thanks for the replies Gents,I hate trick questions, don’t you?

With regaurds to a digi tacho if its an hour out then the display time has been changed but when you put your card in it should show utc time…untill you finish ur manual entery’s then would go back to what ever time the clock is set to show for running ie local time
do you still use paper ones?
Paper tachos?? What are they??
