No, and you mustn’t chuckle when you’re waiting to tip and they open the shutter door to a guy with a shovel! Luckily i never had the embarrassment, suppose i was just too good  My worst queue there was almost back to security! Great fun! At least it’s a quick tip when you actually get there, if it’d been an hour long job i’d probably still be there!

my worst queue was back beyond finnforest with people queueing on both sides of the road :open_mouth:

im glad i only do casual bulk now, so i dont tend to stray too far out of suffolk as its a day to day basis when im back!

Euromat,

Great pics as always. Out of interest, where did you take the pic of the Wilsons DAF?

There is a pic of a drawbar one on their website (hcwilson.com then click on gallery), but they have generally had Scanias in the past.

Also, did you happen to get a seperate pic of the Romantiek Scania in the background of that pic? Again they mainly have Scanias but they’re one of the best looking fleets around!

the daf pic was at the bp garage in felixstowe. i will have a look to see if i got one of the romantiek scania, but i dont think i did (if they are normally sandwiched in between others i dont bother cos you cant get a very good pic a lot of the time)

here you go, i remember thinking at the time, he must of been tired when he put that sticker in his window… :open_mouth:

What happened to their V8 units and draw bars? That one looks in a right state.

Is this better?

PMSL

I bet the driver felt a right ■■■ when he realised he’d put it on back to front.

harry:

Is this better?

 unless you are driving past and want to write the phone number down…

Maybe the sticker is like that so the driver knows what make of truck he’s driving!

It’s a nice motor no doubt, but what strikes me is the size of the tanks!!!

I haven’t seen any of their t-cabs for ages, I assume they’ve been sold on, they only seem to have ‘normal’ scanias now.

The drawbars are still around, at least I saw one yesterday on the A140 - a Scania 580 6-wheeler unit. They used to have a T cabbed drawbar unit as well but I think that’s gone. They’re replacing a lot of the older ones now, they seem to have 4 or 5 brand new as yet unliveried Scania (620’s I think).
