hi,im currently driving a daf cf 440 euro 6 as the revs get up I have a squealing noise which I first thought was the air flow over the exhaust because as I ease off it stops but I’m not so sure now as the truck doesn’t seem to have as much power as id expect from a 440…any ideas?
Turbo faulty, or a leak?

Could be the inter cooler or hose
As above… High pressure leak on pipe from turbo to intercooler. Intercooler itself, or intercooler to inlet manifold. Not getting its full boost pressure so will be down on power too.

Might find it smokes a bit more too, if it’s any of the above.
Could be the air deflector above the windscreen, few of ours do it…same as some cars whistle with a roof rack - thankfully mine doesn’t!
My mirror guards of my DAF used to whistle like hell.
However that wouldn’t ease off when you backed off a bit. So this one sounds mechanical.
