I recently bought a 2006 Daf xf95,with a zf 16s221 with intarder, gearbox was out and al the wiring connectors was either cut off ,or destroyed. All the wires are present,i need help to what wires goes where,the speed sensor,intarder sensor,proportional valve ect.
I have al the wires numbers,and tried a wiring diagram, but I dont understand it…best option is just to buy a new harness, but that’s to expensive.
If there numbered and you have a wiring diagram .
Maybe cheaper get an auto electrician to sort it out
Yes that would be a good option, round here that’s going to be the same price as a harness, I would like to do it myself,then in the process I understand the wiring more,and can fix it myself on the road.
If the wires have been cut then you are going to need all the connectors and pins etc to mate with the various connectors on the gearbox. You are also going to need to make weather sealed joins to extend the damaged wiring. If, as you say, you have a price then you are probably very lucky that the wiring harness is still available for a 2006 vehicle. There are times when either expert help or the correct parts prove to be the cheapest option in the long run, this looks like being one.
