DAF XF105

I took my Magnum into Channel Commercials in Kent today to get the doors repaired after the theft- Renault £800 DAF £280 go figure

Anyway there was a brand new XF105 in the paint shop after a look around all I can say is what a piece of Kit (notice I said Kit, no rhyming slang intended  )

I will have to wait a couple of years before they hit my price bracket but definately a future purchase. Even the interior is the dogs danglies!!

It was painted a vibrant yellow so can only assume its going to some lucky bleeder at Whites Transport :imp:

If the Whites driver reads this any feedback very appreciated, and mind that paintwork hauling spuds!!! :open_mouth:

Was it the same yellow as

Sounds good I would love one too. :grimacing:

I think you will find thet the Yellow is the Daf demo colours

You don’t clean the one you have now !

CM tested one before xmas, nice truck, and one would look look nice in red :sunglasses: , but those roof spots are extra, and a bit pricey at £610 :open_mouth: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

carl you mean the 470 scanias the 480 is a v8 the 470 puts out the same toruqe as the 480 but does in a smoother way and dosnt have the have the bottom end of the v8.
theres no replacement for cubic capacity

joe if its 680 notes for both sides then taken in the overall or life cost of the truck then its not that much

The new 480 is not a V8 anymore it replaces the 470.
Here`s a pic of one that my mate got on the first day back this year.
It sounds nice but not a patch on the sweet V8 sound

Roof spots factory fitted cost us 600 euro per truck

and if you’re financing a new one £680 won’t have a noticable effect on the repayments - they’ll be enormous anyway

 too right Denis, they’re not a good idea on some of the country lanes and farm tracks that I travel on, they’d be allright for nightime pidgeon shooting though, they’d illuminate the branches of trees nicely, but I think I’d be paying out £680 several times over the life of the truck  , I’m not keen about the roof top being GRP either

saw one on the m1 yesterday with the roof lights and they look proper odd, not right at all, actually spoilt the look of the wagon imho.

this is the daf demo colour yellow ,stunning looking bit of kit :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
