You know its not going to be agood day when bith bootlaces snap at 3am. You have ti defrost car and then truck and then you find the blkoody windscreen wipers don’t work. Can anyone tell me where fuse box is on a daf xf.

Erm, in the dash on the passenger side?
Lift the panel on left hand side of the dash,it’s under there.
Sometimes the wipers freeze solid to the windscreen and if you switch them on the fuse goes. Best to pull them off the screen first. Used to happen all the time in stralis’

Didn’t have time to log back on so had to put up without them. Wasn’t ideal in todays weather
has the truck you are in not got a drivers handbook?
it tells you in there what the fuse is, and where the fusebox is located
cant you set the timer on night heater to come on an hour before you get to the yard, or just turn night heater on before you go home?
When i leave off work Fridays, i programme the heater to come on at 6.30 pm Sunday nights, as the night driver turns up in the yard at 7.30pm. He said the other morning when i spoke to him that he got in the yard 7.30pm , all the units had frozen screens, the he found my/his motor ice free and lovely and warm when he opened the door.
Never driven the truck before. Called at 7pm yesterday to collect truck at 3.30am and head off to Sheffield and Manchester. Tickets in cab. Keys hidden in a pre arranged place. I work for them and other companies if they are stuck. No handbook I could find. Now I suppose if I adhered to these modern CPC rules I should have refused to take truck when I found wipers not working. Real world there was a full truck to be delivered. Weather was dry, I always carry water in sufficient to keep me going until daylight and I can raise someone about the issue. Worse case sceneario I would have had to pull over and seek assistance once it was impossible to continue.
Guess you’ll never win whatever you do.
