DAF XF of sort

Had a job at a regular client yesterday and as I was climbing into the cab I noticed that it was a tad high for a normal rigid. Also a dual bunk bed was there so a exploratory vehicle check was done. As it was still dark I didn’t take much notice of the height when I approached the lorry. Would you believe it a DAF XF unit that was converted into a ‘Super’ rigid somewhere around 28T I would say. All the trimings of an Artic along with the 430bhp, felt a bit weird driving it as i was sort of expecting it to bend in the middle. How common is this, turning a unit into another vehicle.

I’ve driven a DAF wagon and drag and that had a XF cab with the 430. It could be the prime mover for a drag? Do they use them there? I guess if your prepaired to pay you can spec it how you like.
Same as seeing a rigid Scanny with a Topline cab, I’ve even seen a bin truck with a Topline cab :open_mouth: it looked a right mess!!

Not seen any W&D’s over there, just rigids & artics oh and of courst little vans.
