Daf xf 2018 super space cab

Hi all just a query but I have a new unit coming next month as above, now I’ve seen the outside of it but it hasn’t got the normal big lights at the top just normal marker lights, does this mean it’s a lesser spec than the other one which is what I thought was ordered? Are there any other differences if so?

Yes it means you get the storage space you think youre getting instead of the two end lockers being full of light housing! However you do loose the pose factor. Depends whats more important.

I suggest you read the handbook ,particulary for the heating / aircon …You can configure the interior switches to your liking ,to programme them in to your setting you just pull a fuse …should explain it in more depth in the handbook…The Traxton gearbox is meant to be good ,almost I shift good apparently …It is totally different truck from the original euro 6 truck …If it feels underpowered then it will have been speed correctly ,yes not what people want to hear ,but to get all the emission gubbings working correctly the engine has to be worked as in pulling …I was much happier fixing euro 2 motors …all this electronics has went too far and it isn’t going to get any easier …My first car a Hilman Avenger 1500GT had a whole 4 fuses my current car has 4 bloody fuseboxes

So it’s just a case of not having the pose factor then, I assume all the interior will be the same as the other super space cab? To be honest it’s got a fridge in it where storage would be so extra space in end lockers will come in handy. I won’t get my hands on the handbook until next month unfortunately, I was just trying to find out if there was a big spec difference if any at all

As far as I know the lights are just a delete option and as I said give better storage space.

There may be small bits and bobs your boss may not have specced …The programming of the nightheater is mad …If you go in and programme it on a sunday afternoon for the following week you have wasted your time ,as when it reaches midnight on a sunday it clears itself,if you programme it a minute after midnight for the week you are sorted ….A money fuel saving item it has is park heat …So when you park up you use park heat ,and it uses the residual heat from the engine to keep the cab warm ,for up to 20 mins as obviously the engine is cooling down…Oh did I say red the handbook lol

Lol yeah you did say read the handbook mate but appreciate what information you’ve given me in the mean time, I am assuming it’s just a standard super space cab to be honest although I’m very happy with it for sure as always liked dafs but would be great to have a boss let us spec our own units but I guess it’s all down to cost at the end of the day. I drive an actros at the moment so I’m guessing I will notice a big difference when I swap over

If not paying you would have asked for the 90th anniversary version…You may find the handbook if you google it ,or it may be on the DAF’s website

You’ll notice a better quality ride in the Daf that’s for sure.I’ve had the Merc and now in an 18 plate daf.Had a 66 plate before. And this latest model is alot better than the 66 plate.Got a decent exhaust brake like on the Merc too.Gearbox is also good.Enjoy it.
