Anybody know how to pair up the remote key fob to the truck?.
Battery was removed for a couple of seconds and now it doesn’t seem to work.

If needing paired up then that’s a job for DAVIE im afraid …I honestly can’t remember if just removing the battery requires it to repaired.But if you do go to the dealer take all the remotes that you have as they will all need done…ie if 1 works and 1 doesn’t,reprogramming just one with a new code wipes out the other one,so you need to redo all the remotes ,barring any issues it will only take minutes…there Is the option of locksmiths ,but at least with the dealer they will let you know if there is actually a fault in the door locking system

DAF recommend the batteries are changed once a year and I’m sure I’ve swapped batteries in them before without any problem. After all it would be crazy if it needed a chargeable visit to DAF every time the batteries were swapped.

reason im getting confused (apart from age ) is the new system on the new xf has the key and fob for the doors combined ,as you get in cars ,and changing the battery in that doesn’t affect the operation…
