Turn the RDS off and retune manually. My car is the same!
We have a few Fodens, the CF cab ones, they have VDO radios in them and are superb for radio signal, go all over the country and you only need to retune a couple of times.

Just remembered another annoying fault; When using the cd player, one speaker cuts out. If I switch back to radio it comes back on again.
I think it’s Iveco that run all the speakers through 1 channel, can’t remember for sure, but I remember Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody on and the sound went on and off instead of left and right…

I never really disliked her until 1 morning when she was bragging that she’d got in and out of her car going to work and the minute on the clock hadn’t even changed, lazy fat cow

fit your own aerial ,my cf was the same put an aerial in the top locker and plugged it in ,no probs now
A problem i have with DAF radios are when you have your hot blower on for a long time, the sound on the radio turns down to about 6, so you can barely hear it.So then you have to put blower on full whack at cold temp to stop radio turning itself down again.This can’t just happen to me, as it occurs often in various DAF units i use.

Get a stralis ken they have good radios.For a hire motor Alex, it’s in good fettle for a 4 year old, but the radio is soooo annoying.
As for a Stralis, the radio is about the only good thing in one.

I’ve got a stralis again and it’s filthy and only 50 mph!!!
Had a Merc cactros on hire over christmas and I think it had a Clarion radio in it, it picked up bbc radio solent all the way to Swansea, my usual daf vdo-(very dire option), lost the signal as soon as I left Southampton!
Now have a dab highway so not a problem anymore.
with mine i find the signal is fine on most stations, but when i charge my iphone up the signal goes crap… 
Mines fine until I turn the CB on or use the washers?!
