So I’m repairing this daf lf45. Paccard engine. Reports of thick black smoke and loss of power. Changed the turbo recently changed the preasure sensor on the pump and the pressure relief valve at the end of the rail. When i run the diagnostic it says pressure on the rail cannot be maintained. I’m at my end here. Could there be a leak in the intercooler piping? Turbo piping? Could rhere be leakage off the rail? Or high pressure side of the fuel system? Help!!!
It sound like over fueling.
Get the injectors out and tested, probably one is leaking, loosing your pressure on your rail and over fueling the engine.
