Hi, New on here, please change if in wrong section. My 1998 Daf 85 has an intermittent fault where the indicators/wipers and the low range heard stop working, this can be when I’m stationary or moving, and then randomly come back on again. Also when the have gone off the ignition won’t switch the engine off…anyone got any ideas what might link these things…typically it never does it with the mechanic! Many thanks
You may have an issue with your VIC ecu,then again that may be reacting to you loosing your ignition…
Will say you are testing me with such an old truck ,if my memory serves me correctly you will have an inline fuse down beside the starter ,check if that has blown,also that relates to the alternator brush box which if faulty will not allow you to switch off the engine .Also if a tractor unit ,there once was an issue with the EBS Susie which when plugged in wouldn’t allow you to switch the engine off …
But I would go for the alternator brush box ,cheap and easy to change
