Wondering if you guys could help just aquired a 53 plate cf85.430 6x2 and it has two fobs neither work no light flashing on either. I have opened then to find one has no batteries and the other 1x cr1620 in there thats flat.
Could anyone please confirm if this is indeed the right battery or even if two per fob are required (the single cell feels quite loose but the contacts are well sprung and make a connection) could anyone also confirm the correct way round they go?
Many thanks guys i did ask our garage but got told bin the fobs the key works in the door lol
Can’t comment specifically on Daf, but as a general rule of thumb, remote key fobs are 6v, and require two batteries, the flat side of which should face away from the electronic gubbins, i.e. should sit on the spring tensioner.
All remote key fobs have a habit of losing connection with the vehicle though, so you may find they won’t work but it’s worth a couple of quid to find out.
i can confirm that it should be 2 batteries in each fob on the DAF
