Do anybody know the best way to remove the back plastic cover off the main mirror on a DAF CF, I’ve looked everywhere online and just can’t find any info. Cheers
Oncoming tipper or low hanging tree usually does the job.
Or a flat ended screwdriver about halfway down the plastic will do the job fine l

To adjust it in or out? No need, just grab the mirror firmly on both sides and twist it by hand.
Flat blade screwdriver in the gap on bottom edge should do it.
That said one I used last week would move in every time you closed the door, though while driving it was ok. There is one bolt across the bar to pinch the case in position, once this has scraped the bar enough you may not get it to bite, fitter just put a rivet in to lock it back in place.
